Palit Radeonâ„¢ HD 4850 SONIC 512MB @ Rs. 8,900

ive tested both cards on garav's computer....
thats the reason i say wt i say,,,, im not sourcing frm anywhere else, Have tested it Myself.
ive spoken once on TE but ATI fanboys jst wont give up..... so its no use repeating those benches on my pc, altho i know that nvidia drivers have outperformed ati drivers in terms of both IQ & Performance.

^ bench on what ? 1280 x 1024 ?

4850 kills 8800GT @ 1680, and I have used 8800GT @ 738/1836/2070, 8800GTS 512MB @ 800/2000 (faster than any 9800GTX+), 4850 @ 700/1100.

Have U seen 4830 reviews ? even its 10-15% faster than 8800GT.

2mins trial is not benching, I have abused all above cards to death :bleh:

Check Supra's review, Farcry review (member not game), see anandtech, dont visit nvidia fanboy site's.

and dont call me fanboy, I m sick of ATi myself. Infact its my 1st ATi card. :)

I think this is enough -

namic bought one , and its been a world of RMA hell. he still doesnt have a working card after several weeks :(

an update to this. finally got a 4850 from a seperate batch. this one apparently works, so we may have a happy ending after all :)

ok one doubt..... what are those percentages mentioned in those graphs?

100% , 200% 30% of what? unless there is a unit, its meaningless.. (not to offend anyone or take side its just a question of mine..)

I just recently shifted from an MSI 8800GT OC to an MSI 4850 :P
much better video quality(plus a lil bump in fps), runs much cooler and quieter as well compared to the 8800GT.. I think the lil extra investment was definitely worth it..

Read ppl read

at the bottom it mentions that a set of games was used in these benchies. the 100% mark here is the baseline mark = the score obtained by 4850. all other cards are being compared relative to 4850. ie, 110% means 10% faster than 4850

If you have to buy a new card, get a 4850 blindly over a 8800gt or 9800gt, better still 4870. But upgrading from a 8800GT to 4850 makes little sense unless you game at 1600x1200 or above with at least 4x AA which is possible in only a limited number of games. Also, it truly makes sense only with 8x AA which imo is anyway a complete waste.

With 8x AA a GTX 260 equals a 4850 acc to the benchies. So...
