Post your overclocks !

Do let me know the exact prices in delhi..will try to bargain, here too..though i know, the taxes here are higher. almost 10% goes on taxes. but that should get me to less than 7500.

@ PCJedi
Bro how did you manage to get ur Venice on A8N-E to 2.71 Ghz
Many ppl here are stuck at 2.5Ghz with ASUS Mobos , DFI seems to have no problem

But you are running ur Ram at 2T , can you try to run ur Ram at 1T and tell us
how much can ur Venice go to.

Also what is the stepping of ur Venice i mean a number like
LBBLE 051X XXXX
Where X is different for different chips & printed on ur proccy.

Also have a look at the discussion here.

Last few posts.

Plz can you also let me know if that 350W SP Antec will be sufficient to drive
your Rig 2 at OCed Settings.

7.5K :O. Thats crazy. We'd get a neopower 480 for that price :P

okie guys here's mine ....

max7eg.jpg

this is one with max CPU speed ..... rams in sync in this one

300fsb0wo.jpg

this one with max HTT ...... here i have used 7 multiplier bcoz my CPU refuses to take .5 multipliers like 7.5 and 8 is high for this chip ...... anyways i haven't played with voltages i thing voltages can help me in getting 8 multiplier .....memories around 240Mhz in this one ....

this is my first ever overclock ....
my first overclock... (though i do`nt have pics right now)
stock @ 1800 mhz... oced to - 272*9 = 2454 mhz...
kept my htt multiplier at 3.. so i guess i can go uptil(theoretically) 333*9 right.. hmm
ram timings - 2-5-3-3-8 ...
my ram is at 363 ddr mhz...

at 275 prime failed :( . so i relaxed my ram timings to 3-5-5-10 and upped my voltage to 1.5.. and i was able to go to 280 prime stable for 1 hour.. hmm
but the heat was too much. temps around 60C so i have reverted back to 1877 mhz...(268*7)( heat produced was too much for my dad to handle lol :( ....
so keeping it at 1877 for a couple of days now.. until i get my uber sexy fans!!! hehe

:O .....extra timing in RAM ......

363 is effective ......

other wise ur effective is 363x2 i think that is too much ....... anyways are u using a stock HSF ....

sorry it was 2.5-3-3-8 ..lol
hmmm ntune showed it to be at 363..? why is it too much??????????
ya i`m on the damn stock heatsink... hmmm.

chic_magnet posted 1.78 minutes later:

i think your talking abt dual channel are you??
363 is the effective speed of my ram. if that`what you asking..

u got me wrong dude i mean like DDR 400 wors at 200 and due to DDR it is 200x2 which is 400(effective) .......when i keep my memory 260 it works as 520Mhz ....... thats wat i was asking .....
ntune shows 363 that means u have underclocked ur ram .....which ram u r using ....... wat divider u r selecting from bios .....

Well here is my overclock

I can push it higher but maybe later when I probably buy a XP-120 or Starice.

CPU voltage set to 1.425, it didn't boot at 1.400, all other voltages at stock.

Prime and CPU-Z were quite stable...

That is really really good.....

I have posted abt my KVR ocs somewhere else in this thread..... I have not seriously tried pushing my RAM like that. Whatever RAM oc's you see are suicide shots.....

LEt me get some free time, I will try to OC my RAM weith a vengeance....

Hey Rahul, that is a insane overclock ! 250Mhz ! Wow, well Sunny with the great Darky's help acheived 270, but even 250 is great.

Well, I am running my 3000+ at 250 x 9 also but I have used a 5:3 divider for the RAM... is there any other way I can increase the RAM speed w/o increasing the FSB ?

nope either u have to decrease the divider ...... or remove the divider ...anyways which ram u r using ....

best thing is my ram is working on 2.70v .....which is stock ...

I am using Hynix D43 RAM, running at 2.5-3-3-7, at 2.7v (stock for my RAM is 2.6v).

My ram should easily take 250Mhz (Sunny did 270) but it needs about 3.1-3.2 volts which I cant do as my mobo is locked to 2.8v, i may have to volt mod it...

Also my PSU is too weak (350W Antec SP) it came with my 3700AMB so i may have to upgrade to a 480W TP later. I am pretty happy with my OC now, I will focus on OC'ing to the GPU.

My target : 400/400 from 325/350.

wat is the max speed u can go with 3-4-4-10......@max voltage on ur board

Oh hell, problems ! Please help !

Prime fails after about 10 minutes. Tried thrice. Here are current settings :

CPU : 2250 Mhz (250 x 9)
RAM : 2.5-3-3-7 (204.6 Mhz 5:3 divider)

Increased DDR voltage to 2.7v and CPU to 1.450v but no difference. Is it a CPU problem or RAM issue ???

Run the Prime small FFTs test. That stresses the CPU. Check if it fails. If it does, then the CPU is at fault.

I personally don't think that your RAM is at fault at those speeds....
