I want to purchase Galaxy Tab . Whts the price its going for rite now and from where to get it at cheapest price and is it advisable to go for it over Ipad ? I am not keen on ipad coz its not luanched here and wont have warranty. So ur suggestions plzz.

^^Yep, the one selling for 29,500 has the official case bundled with it while the one they are advertising on their main page is for 27,990 and comes without any freebies.

Anyone from Mumbai ordered anything from letsbuy? Do we need to pay Octroi if we buy stuff from letsbuy.com ?

^^Well to correct you slightly, they are not selling for the same price. Correct comparison would be between iPad 16 GB Wifi + 3G (Sells for 34k) vs Galaxy Tab (which is now selling for around 26-27k). Also, there is a very good chance of Tab getting an unofficial Honeycomb port which would make it good!

IMO,
Things in favor of iPad:

Optimized iOS out of the box
Smooth and Amazing Web Browsing/Gaming Experience

Things in favor of Tab:

More RAM!!
More mod-ability (via community support)
Cameras :P
Can be used as a phone (yea yea I know :P)

The biggest difference between the two, though, is
PORTABILITY!
If you want a bigger screen to casually browse when home, get the iPad hands-down!
If portability and light-weight is what you are looking for (especially to surf the web on the go), go for Tab (only because it is now selling for cheap)!

In the end, both are Gen-1 tablets and are going to be soon outdated with the launch of iPad 2 and Tab 2 around the corner. So I would invest in something which has a better chance of being future proof and IMO, that would be the Tab! Cheers :)

^^Nope..That's not true..There were some rumors doing rounds about it, but it was later on confirmed by someone at Google that there is no minimum processor requirement set for Honeycomb!

Hi, Anyone know how good or stupid to order Samsung Tab from here ? Total 29k.

Is there any chance money can vanish in the thin air ?

My only requirements viewing PDF doc/books (lots of them) and Internet browsing with Wi-Fi and BSNL 3G.....Hope this will meet my requirements.

Any Free PDF program out there for Galaxy TAB ?

Is it not true next gen TAB 2 will not selling such a low price.....Right ?

There are many free PDF apps for Tab! You could get the Tab even cheaper if you buy it from letsbuy.com (with ICICI/Reliance offer)

As far as Flipkart is concerned, it is a legit site and many people have bought stuff from there! So you don't need to worry about your money!

I think MunduTV is one option. Also, OlivePad comes with Zenga TV which streams many Indian channels! There must be a way to get the Zenga TV APK from OlivePad!

Thnx. But in my HTC hd2 i can watch live channels through reliance 3g without downloading any application like mundu tv etc, so why is it necessary to download mundu tv etc .in TAB, cant it stream live tv like it does in mobiles.

Thanks for your reply and clearing my confusion .....Yes, but can't order from letsbuy as they don't ship product in West Bengal.

This tab things are not worth more than 23-25k, but I'm sure if Tab2 release this old stock are gone and new Tab2 will defiantly cost 40k.

^^I agree..Its not worth spending more than 25/26k on Tab! Tab2 will be announced in a couple of weeks, but it might be months before it is launched in India! And it is definitely going to cost a bomb! Probably even more than what the initial Tab was priced when it launched here (38k)

Almost finalize the deal in Ebay, price is 1009/- cheaper than Flipkart. Product location is Delhi and his feedback I found he sold more than 5 TAB and all customer are leaving positive feedback.

After contacting the seller and sending him the Pin-code , he assured no need to worry about any form-50 crap which is a big slap to the people of this part of India.

The Best part of that I'm entitle to get Ebay Valentine Gift....Going for Kodak Cam if the deal is done.

Will do the transaction tomorrow. Hope this is alright.

Ok....Today I got some new experience in Ebay's deal.

After the payment done within 5min max seller called me and said after confirming the I'm who made the payment (conversion in Hindi)

Seller: Sir Why I didn't paid for this item yestarday ?

Me: because it Thursday (Gurubar) and I didn't buy anything on that day.

S : Do u noticed I reduced 500 bucks Today ? Now the price is 27.4k ?

M: Yes

S : Man I need to bribe 500 bucks to Courier guy, So buyer like you don't have to worry about Form 50 and other legal formalities.I

also forget to add the line buyer from WB and Assam need to pay 500 bucks extra. Now I'm running 500 bucks loss.

M : Look man, Yesterday I mailed you twice and wrote my PINCode before the deal as well as I also mention I can't give you the Form-50,

But u never mention any of these, Even u never said that to make the payment immediately, then whose fault is this ?

S : No, but I'm still running 500 bucks loss.

M : It is okay.....If you can't sell the product it is ok. I don't want you lose money in this deal.

S : Nahi Nahi baat aisi nahin hain......I'm the only who loose the money.
