FAGo isnt an expansion drive. Expansion drive = External power required = Not so portable.
Hence we prefer 500GB portable over even 1 TB expansion because we use it a lot with laptops when there is no external power source nearby or when it is not easy to connect to it and stay bounded.

I meant the Seagate Expansion Portable. It is self powered hence doesnt require adapter... Look here
Seagate Expansion Portable 1 TB - Self Powered - www.deltapage.com

2GB DDR2 Kingston 800MHz - 1250 (Libra Infotech)

500 GB Seagate External (NOT GoFlex, white box) - 2650 - (Whats with the price rise? Same rate everywhere.)

8GB Transcend Pen Drive - 430 (Maestro Computers)

D-Link Wireless USB Adapter - 750 (Maestro Computers)

Some laptop prices from Lamington Road:

Sony VAIO VPCEH18FG/L

Intel Core i5-2410M
4 GB DDR3 RAM
500 GB HDD 5400 rpm
NVIDIA Geforce 410M 512 MB DDR3
15.6" 1366x768
Windows 7 HP

Price:
ZOOM computers: 43k
Yoku : 41.8k

Asus K53SV (This one has many configs but this is the one he had)

2nd gen i7 (i assume i7-2630QM)
8 GB DDR3 RAM (!)
750 GB HDD 5400 rpm
2 GB DDR3 dedicated graphics (i assume Geforce 540m)
15.6" 1366x768
DOS

Price:
Yoku : 44.85k
Gigahertz: 46k

Just a small query to follow these prices:
The intended purchase is for my friend and the Asus notebook looks like a killer deal.
But my friend has a doubt if it is genuine, so are you guys sure that Yoku sells genuine stuff?
Asus laptops are hard to find (even harder if you have specific requirements) in Lami.
Yoku says that he is the sole distributor of Asus laptops in Lami and whoever else sells Asus laptops in Lami order from him only.
The OS is not a major issue, but otherwise, the Asus simply crushes the VAIO in every aspect (on paper at least) and overall has decent overall quality too.
So what do you guys think, should he go ahead with this?

buying any asus product buy it from prime to avoid the inconsistent after sales from rashi.
Not sure though who handles the after sales for the notebooks. :S

Just head to primabgb or TheITWares and ask them that is Yoku the sole distributor of Asus laptops... You would find many stores in lammy whose owners pretend to be sole distributor of many products just to attract the customers... There is also another way to check that whether he is the sole distributor or not and thats... Call the Asus customercare number and ask them that whether Yoku is distributor of Asus laptops or not... And i agree with GGT, it would be better if you would buy a laptop from any reputed store... :)

Most of the laptop selling shops seem to sell either fake or tampered or imported stuff, and they especially try to force a Dell laptop upon you. Only the three shops i mentioned above seem to be genuine. I lost count of how many shops offered us a Dell XPS 15 for 25-30k (obviously fake), some even with Win 7 Ultimate (pirated of course). And by the way, i dont think it matters where you purchase your laptop from as long as it is a genuine shop because you ultimately have to go to the manufacturer's service center for servicing (Asus's is somewhere in Andheri i think). So, my only doubt is, is Yoku 100% genuine?
