Hey friends, my 650i blew up, and i gt new 650i in replacement.

On my earlier 650i, my E2140 easily ran at 2.8GHz on Auto Voltage, and after increasing the Voltage ran at 3Ghz.
But on the new board, it doesnt even cross 2.6Ghz in the BIOS, and even at 2.6Ghz it crashes after some time of heavy load.
Its stable only at 2.4Ghz.

I have updated the BIOS to the latest one. But still this problem persists. Any solution friends.

Any problem with the PSU???

Try reconnecting all power connectors.. The 24pin ATX n 4 pin power connecors on the mobo..

No, PSU is same ... no extra hardware added. Can this be a board problem or any other issue ... temps are infact lower than earlier due to applying MX-2.

May be a capacitors might be of defective or of low quality in the mobo.which making the crahes .Also try changing the Smps.. If the mobo blow up then smps must have taken some damage.confirm this

well it can be ur BIOS...
as well as its good to know that every mobo is not the same.
some mite provide better OCin support , some mite not !

mine earlier Gigabyte G-965 was one hell of a MOBO.. it dint let me OC anythin whereas my frnds hvin the same board were havin all the fun

still try wat stalker said !

Could be the mobo issue.... Not all mobo from same Company & model overclock alike... Update the BIOS & then try your luck...

Guys, the BIOS update really helped, using the latest BIOS from the lkink provided by Dingemini.

Now running it very stably @ 2.8Ghz .. even 3GHz was stable but prefer running at 2.8GHz.

Is it ok if the system is started 4-5 times a day ??
