OC & Modding Project EVO 2 - Water Cooling to the Extreme

Thanks man:

Small update.

Redid some tubing and also added a temp monitor for the pump. The tubing was redone as some of it was not to my liking.

And just to show how much I have worked on cable management and sleeving:

Now need some help on how to improve on the photography. Cheers and hope you enjoyed this update. The only thing left to do is to get an SSD

Wow the dye looks really good. Tbh I never knew people put dye in their coolant .... Won't it damage your pump or leave traces in your resevoir/blocks over time?

Also, I'm not an expert at photography with point and shoots. But for close-ups, I've noticed that putting the camera in Macro Mode, moving a bit away from the subject and then applying a bit of optical zoom gives much better AF; But you'll need to be more steady.

Super Smexy Build Mav :)

i love it bro... looks absolutely stunning. Love what you have done with the lighting !

Truly epic build bro !

Congratulations !!

Cheers and Kind Regards :)

Thanks man.

Did some more work with the camera today.

Guys again some feedback on the photography please. I have some surprises coming in soon as well.

Hi mav, didn't expect to see you here, but then i'm a noob to Indian forums. The photography seems to have improved much in quality from what I saw earlier.

By the way, did you find the stand-offs?

Anyway, did some work ...feedback please. Only the screws for the EK are left. But that will take some time to get there and I will have to dismantle a few things before that can be done.

These are the screws I got for the rad:

Want some response on the photography as well guys. For some reason the water is now purple....damn this color...I dont know how you guys do it.

HOLY F ~!

DUDE THIS IS EPIC ! I love this and you are in Bangalore ? I have to see this man I love it :)

Great work you've put in mav , I think the WC-efforts have paid off , Congrats :cool2:

@Coolant discoloration : Mate did you rinse the whole setup before filling in the coolant ? It probably could be nasty stuff in the radiator/waterblock which causes the discoloration ? Or might just be that the dye and the tubing are not gelling well with each other which might react to give such colour - but the tubing's discoloration could generally be due to aging ? This could surely be a case of radiator junk. I think sudhir(phoenix) had this problem , but then his w-b was gettting eroded due to bad coolants (feser) - I think he might have a better Idea.

SO its been a while since anything new happened. Well, the board borked out, so I had the time this week to sit and do some stuff. First of I had to clean out all the fluid and then clean out the components so that there is no trace of red. The red was turning purple again, so I decided to skip it in the new avatar. SO here we go....First of got a new pump stand done as well cut some acrylic and covered up the drive bay area. I like a cleaner look, so took off all the tool free HDD/DVD stuff and then got down to scoring some acrylic as well as drilling it. I tried with double sided tape to keep it there, but that was not working, so had to do some screw holes and used some hex bolts.

Forgive the pics, as I dont have a working computer and just could not be bothered during getting the stuff done.

Looks very empty....:(

Anyway today I went to the market and got some cans of paint as well as a whole lot of different types of screws....the idea was to get the grills done today and I sat down to finish that. So after a few hours of work, this is how it looks now.

Took all the grills off

And re assembled...I know the pics are great but trust me it looks a lot better.

I really didnt know what to expect from this ram kit, but I am very very happy with it. It works well for me and clocks good for what it cost.

Took out the old silver coil and put in 10 grams of pure silver goodness....

Redid the pump base, to allow for some airflow under the pump as well as to keep the pump stable.
