Looks like it

Everyone has a rating of not less than 8/10

I also havent read much of tintin comics but this miovie seems to change things :)

IMHO the tintin cartoons were far better than the movie. Also with the kind of animation 3d was not needed.

Immortals - 7/10

Tintin - 6/10

Saw a movie after maybe 2 months. Loved it. What an amazing storyline, and everything was awesome, including the ending. Definitely one of the best movies I've ever seen.

9/10 from me

The Guns of Navarone - 8/10

Quite a classic. Anthony Quinn is in his elements here. Gregory Peck can't be faulted either. The screenplay keeps you engrossed for the better part of close to three hours. An unconventional war film, definitely worth a watch.

Tin Tin 3D - 9/10

Brilliant adventure movie. Gets you right from the start. The animation is awesome, even the 3D doesnt look dark and colorless this time. Awesome chase sequences. Haddock and Snowy are awesome.

X-Men: First Class - 7.5/10

Best part:

Charles and Erik introducing themselves to Wolverine and in turn he replies "Go F*** yourself". Charles aand Erik immediately walk away.

Bwahahahaha

I had actually seen that part on youtube earlier, but I just couldn't stop laughing when it came up during the movie.

Sent from my lazy couch.

The Adventures of Tintin - 9/10. :D

Watched the movie in 3D. The movie is fabulous right from opening credits to flashback and chase sequence.. oh, some of the best chase scenes I've seen in the longest time! Superb direction. Just came out of the theater and am still spell bounded.. HAIL SPIELBERG. :)

How was Adventures of Tintin in 3D?? I usually don't like watching movies in 3D. But the theaters with 2D screenings are pretty far from my house.

3D is awesome. You wont be disappointed at all. Both versions are equally fun. But the 2D animation looks brighter and more vivid.

Put everything aside and go, watch the movie. However high your expectation may be, the movie wont disappoint.

How is Snowy..?

Snowy is charming, funny and smart of course.

The Adventures of Tintin - 8/10.. Gr8 animation, This will be the first thing that is just amazing in this movie. Go watch it. I watched in 2D as i hate 3D. Ggr8 action/adventure film. Captain Haddock's and dog's character was gr8. But somehow the i didnt like the character of Tintin and the characters of pick pocketer and police. (latter were made too dumb or may be its that way in comics, although my personal opinion). Plus there was too much coincidences in the action sequences which i didnt like. But overall it was a gr8 movie, a must watch.

The Adventures of Tintin - 9/10. Saw the last 30 minutes without the glasses. The glasses reduces the brightness significantly. And it was a bit too heavy for my liking. :(

Everything was awesome except the omission of Prof. Calculus. In fact, he made his very first appearance in Red Rackham's Treasure, one of the three comics on which the movie is based so this wasn't a good idea. I am told he will make his appearance in the upcoming sequel. There were several deviations from the actual plot based on the comics so a hardcore Tintin fan is bound to be disappointed with this movie adaptation. Nonetheless brilliant animation overall. The attention to detail was top-notch! For instance, the transition sequences in the movie from one scene to the other, the way the dust particles exhibits the Brownian motion visible through the torch's light when Tintin takes off the rag cloth from the crate inside Marlinspike Hall, the magnification of the image through the magnifying glass when Snowy holds it, the reflection of the image from the torch inside the crew's quarters in Karaboudjan. Castafiore was well portrayed.

Hats off to Andy Serkis. This guy is insane in terms of voice and mo-cap acting. He did a fantastic role as Gollum (Smeagol) in the LOTR franchise, as the King Kong in peter Jackson's King Kong, as the ape Caesar in Rise of the Planet of the Apes and several video games - Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. Perhaps my most loved mo cap actor; Nolan North comes at a distant second. Eagerly awaiting the release of The Hobbit! :D

The Adventures of TinTin - 9/10

Amazing movie!! Really well done. As said by everyone, the direction, animation, voice acting, everything was top notch! The attention to details was really remarkable. Adding to what Gannu said, the part where reporters take pictures, the images in the viewfinder of their cameras is inverted, like how it used to be in old cameras.

Thoroughly enjoyed the movie.
