Rate the Last Movie You Saw...

I can watch Mulholland Drive just to look at Naomi Watts a million times.
Some people are so freaking beautiful...I have similar problems with Rosamund Pike, she's so distractingly beautiful that I had to watch Gone Girl twice to understand the easy movie.
BTW anyone here watched Gone Baby Gone? Very good movie.

Well, I don't know if Primer was mentioned here, but if you want be mindblown watch Primer. Advice is to take notes while watching. Trust me it's needed.
I remember the Mulholland Drive days, but I'd re-watch Donnie Darko and Primer than Mulholland, there's more to be gained from the former two. But it's been many years so I don't remember much from Mulholland except going WTF and of course Naomi Watts.

Mortal Kombat 2021: 8/10
For a general audience, this movie will feel too rushed or pathetic character building but given the challenge of MK charcter sets and without making the movie too childlike, this was well balanced. Lastly, since I've been a fan of the game since childhood days, it felt amazing to watch come to life. Deducted 2 points because Raiden was represented in the worst possible manner which was a solid disappointment.

I watched it yesterday, but was mostly a disappointment for me. The main reason I sat through it was for Hiroyuki Sanada. Kano was good. And where was that kickass soundtrack! Barely used.

Nobody on the other hand was a fun watch. Solid 7.5/10

Trainspotting anyone ( not the 2nd part)? I liked it more compared to Requiem for a dream.
Both are excellent, but Requiem was extremely depressing for me ( can trigger an addict with the harrowing end) But Trainspotting ends with such a hopeful note with the hilarious Scottish accent throughout the movie.
Yep, also need to watch The Shining, have it.
That's another gem!!

1) The Sunset Limited - 8.5/10
*ing Tommy Lee Jones and Samuel MF Jackson

Another philosophical masterpiece like The Man from the Earth imo.

2) My Dinner with Andre - 9/10
Go blind into this one and you might have a great dinner for yourself. :D

You can say I am fond of dialogue heavy flicks with as few humans involved as possible in a limited landscape. If not for my handicap of artistic expression, I would've liked to make a film like these myself.

Late post but Demon Slayer : Mugen Train. 10 / 10. Dam that is one hell ride they took us with in 2 hrs. Rengoku earned the respect as a character he deserved in the short time he was present.

Bird Box 9/10
The Silence 9/10
Both awesome unique thriller movies purely on survival and definitely way too much different from the usual ghosts spirits demon and zombie crap!

One can visualize what if the current covid epidemic takes such form in near future..

Nayattu - Malayalam movie - Netflix

Very realistic thriller. Story of three cops finding themselves helpless in the faceless system of caste, politics and media. Many may not like the ending but then this is not a feel good movie. Very true representation of politics and caste in our country. Great BGM and excellent screenplay.
