Animax Forum - View topic - Animax to broadcast the entire DRAGON BALL series
But there's a catch, the official DBZ Dubs, Cartoon Network STILL holds the licence for the FUNImation english dubs, and uses it to Re-Dub it in hindi with music and themse from the FUNI dub.
And also, that says DB will start in June...and Junes here but there's still nothing airing on animax for its pre-release.
Well lets hope for the best
hyeah:
Animax have shown the entire Dragon Ball anime series, including the original Dragon Ball series, its sequel, Dragon Ball Z, and its later sequel, Dragon Ball GT, in its original parent network in Japan, and will, in June 2006, start broadcasting the entire Dragon Ball series in its Southeast Asian network (known as Animax-Asia), in the English language - they are already releasing a widely-anticipated preview soon. In a recent press release, Animax has stated:
Quote:
Showing the most popular anime that have garnered massive followings in Japan and around the world, programmes on Animax cater to viewers of varying viewing preferences. Animax features programmes of various genres, from action (Blood+, Trinity Blood) to sci-fi (Ghost in the Shell), romance (Paradise Kiss and Honey & Clover) to drama (Black Jack, Jigoku Shojo), and all time favorites (Dragon Ball) to provide viewers with the ultimate anime viewing experience.
Animax generally broadcasts their latest anime series in its Southeast Asian network (known as Animax-Asia) (though sometimes Animax's latest anime have been broadcast simultaneously both in Southeast Asia and South Asia e.g. Emma - A Victorian Romance, Captain Tsubasa ~ Road to Dream (a.k.a. Flash Kicker), and very soon after, broadcasts its anime in its South Asian network (i.e. in the Indian Subcontinent). Recent examples have included Kino's Journey which was broadcast first in Animax-Asia in January or February 2006, I think, and then very soon, in March or somewhere close to that date, in South Asia, Flame of Recca, and so many others.
Therefore, it is highly likely and 100% confirmed (especially after their media release) that Animax will broadcast the entire Dragon Ball series soon after in South Asia! Rejoice DBZ fans.
