dude how to solve this bloody timeout issue :x and rcomwap is way pathetic even if compared to gprs whras rcomnet is supersmooth and awesome
 
I use it during off peak times.
I avoid it during daytime.
I wont use it until the initial craze for it dies down and then will use it.
Maybe when Airtel and other start their service speeds will improve.
Regarding the timeout issue download 2 files simultaneously and start them at some time gap between them.
And downloads have to be resume supported for reliance 3g to work :p

How does 3g pricing work?

I am using Rs.99 / month with 2.5 gb limit, mobile internet from reliance. Now will 3g data be transmitted under this plan or do i need to get something else activated?
 
^^yeah its actually 3gb, if you have done recharge recently.

earlier it was 2.5gb.if you consume it do the recharging thing for more data. :p

Well, I see it this way.. If the prices are low as 2G, that supports the point that 2G should be auctioned now and imagine that auction amounts with current no.of 2G users. Mobile companies struggled a lot to arrange the amounts for 3G auction.. They will go bankrupt to pay the 2G amount and obviously they kept high prices and I guess after all this 2G thing is over you'll see reduced 3G prices
I would do the same if am one of the 2G operator!!

how do you check the usage balance?
Reliance dont have this in place to check the usage by typing in a number. :mad:
CC guys say, you need to call them everytime to check the usage balance. wtf.

And.. This 99rs/month plan is applicable on both 2G and 3G. 3gb/month.
 
Last time i used the 99 pack when i used to get 2.5gb data.
Then i used to check the data usage by dialing *367.
Then they would mention your balance.
When activated i got my balance as 25k. Assuming ten p/ten kb.
Hence the analogy.

What does this mean ? I dialled up *367 and it says:
Your prepaid account balance contains Rs.31506.51 and your account is valid till 28/08/2022 :p

Not the best way to report the remaining data usage on one's account, but works for now. I wonder how difficult is it for them to just have a sentence added to the balance enquiry report with the remaining data and validity.
