Reliance Jio Rollout

Yes Rcom closing it soon. not immediately but will take couple of months for sure. They are pushing all existing customer to 4g asap. And those who ignore the SMS of 4g upgrade they will soon get calls from Rcom to get 4g sim.
Max. My sim is not activated yet. I haven't got confirmation on my alternate number because some issue at their back end .
 
completed televerification, working flawlessly. the apps are buggy but the network is reliable. not able to update 'my jio' app. I simply get not installed on my lyf flame 1.

there are lots of bug in the recharge system but i hope it will be ironed out by the time they roll out

nothing to worry about, this speeds are on -101dBm In no time i'll have 2300Mhz repeater, and will most probebly get 25+ Mbps on -51 dBm. Pity I can't get dedicated mifi with better radios to fully utilize the connection

BIG thanks to Vaibhav for giving me the oppurtunity to be on this network early. Internet connection is very important for my work and have been stuck for years on shitty networks. I have been frustated to a point that i considered its better to die than to live with the internet.

@ruiner21, I'll post it step by step very shortly. just testing the network under different circumstatnces currently. try registering on my jio app with your jio number and see if it works? I logined with same credentials and recharged 25GB plan while on app

UPDATE : I'm able to use reliance jio on iphone 6 and k3 note without any issues. Looking forward to buy a mifi device itself to use it on desktop.

K3 note is not VoLTE as far as I know. Were you able to make calls?
 
Mine also just activated 1 hour ago. I am also stuck with balance exhausted error whenever trying to call or access data. Also not able to download My Jio app as it is redirecting me.
 
Downloading the my jio app wont help with that error.

I downloaded using wifi and then created a account, doesnt let me do a recharge anyway.
 
I was able to perform recharge of 25 GB pack without any issues. what pack does it say your current plan on ?

mine is on some unlimited frc plan on that screen. would have posted screenshot but have to go two floors up and down just to check phone and come back

All my info is based on what I am reading over at IBF:
There are two plans - one the 25GB one and the preview offer. One can do the recharge for the 25GB and use the network on other phones too. There is no clarity if the data will work once the 25GB is over.

The actual unmetered plan is the preview offer which seems to be activating after a a day or two automatically. The caveat being it doesn't work on other phones.

Speeds are a function of the LTE band. 2300 Mhz seems to be the magic one as it is giving nearly 30 Mbps speed. If things get stuck on 850/1800 Mhz then the speed goes near 10 mbps.

There are issues in getting this working and no one knows how things should work.Still one can't do much but hit and miss to see how things are working.

I, for one, am thankful that Jio dint try doing a full launch. It would have been an unmitigated disaster.

Finally I was able to recharge it for 25gb plan and able to use it fully now.
Outdoor speed is nearly 50-60 Mbps. Indoor coverage is disaster. merely 1-2 bar and speed drops to 7-8 Mbps though this solely depends on location and coverage.

Tested jio sim on my blackberry passport and data is working. though I need to enable volte from engineering settings for voice. SMS is working.

On the iPhone 6 everything is working. Yea voice,data and SMS.

Voice quality is way better on volte. I will share screen shot soon on speed test. Ping and page response is superb. Much better than 3G.
