@karankapoor You challenged me to find a difference without checking the model. I told you I found the difference just because I was checking the camera out and I knew that the Snapdragon version has 4K and slow mo. Also when I pointed this out to the sales guy he said that they are the same though he did say that the one being sold to you won't have 4G. 40K+ might not be a small amount for you but for me it definitely is. Imagine my horror at buying something ad then realizing its something else. May be 40k is chicken shit for you so it could be difficult for you to realize it.

And those who will say 4K and slo-mo are a gimmick, I would definitely like these gimmicks.

Read read and read I said in my last post APART from that 4K recording..... can u point me on one single difference, Challenge ?

But it doesn't make sense on why they are displaying the SD version and selling the Exy version?? No idea why they would adopt such a tactic unless:
1.The SD version is cheaper than the Exy version.
2.They are not sure if the SD version will be stable and the customers might be turned off if it lags(no idea on this one ,just a speculation. So don fire me on this)

I think it means no cost for them, as the units are returned back. Otherwise there is a little loss with display items. The guy in the shop said those display units have no IMEI. Whether that's true or not i'm not sure.

The other side of this is maybe samsung may offer SD in India in the future. But that's trying to look at things optimistcally. 4G will get sorted out here eventually, there will be a chip that can handle all world GSM frequencies so you don't have one set of units going to one part of the world and another for the rest. It will be like 3G, well understood.

Any idea if 4G units from US ie N9005 will work on 4G in India. If so then getting one from US makes sense if you have your eyes on using 4G here in the future that is by forgoing the Indian warranty of course.

No, they are not going to work as they use a different band. You also lose warranty.

The iFun 5s however if you get the right variant just might work on the 2300 band.

Yep i did menion on the warranty part.Checked out the Note 3 .feels premium compared to the other samsung phones though. but i repeat, the pricing could have been much much better.they offered 7k for my S2.i said Meh and walked off.

Ideal price ? hmm, check out the import data. In bulk for Rs. 25.4k. Asking price is ~rs.45k.

S4 imported at 25k and sold around the 40k mark dropping to 35k after 6 months. From apr to Jul there was crazy importing in 1000+ shipment which stopped around end Aug. About 380k S4's were imported.

I would say around the 40k mark is ideal for the note 3. But that's not going to happen for some time yet. Also depends how well or not the note 3 sells and samsung decides to aggressively discount.

Whereas the Z1 imports at 20.5k and sells for 40k. The Z1 is overpriced right now compared to the samsungs. Around 90k Z1's imported so far.

So does it mean the seller whose link i have attached is selling at the import price itself?? though its a US seller i assume he has imported at the same cost as the Indian marketeers??

@ paarkhi
Any specific reason or unusual notings that might have you not to trust the seller??

@sumatrix, how can you (I) trust a seller with $1000 who was selling $12.5 lingerie till yesterday and suddenly starts selling a much expensive product at much cheaper rates?

Edit: Please check your link again, it no more takes you to the listing but a normal ebay search for note3, it was taking us to the listing in the afternoon. I think the listing is removed.

We got a opportunity of selling s4 at 30k, less than market price with indian warranty. The catch was.. We buy minimum of 20pieces at one go.. our price was 25k and apparently that dude who was selling it was getting it for 20k.
The above figures are damn right because he sold those pieces in front of us.. and we couldn't buy 20 box pieces at a go.

I guess we can arrange 20 guys who are willing to buy a Note 3 at 35k if at all we find someone to sell us at 35K.
Didn't hear anything about Note 3 in BULK. But the thing is YOU will not blindly trust me and pay 5-6 lakh rupees. 99% of you won't do it and i won't take it via bank route.

The links in my post are for note 3 & Z1. You can search that site for S4. Just go through the list and add up the units imported.

People have to eat. They make a less fat profit than right now.

What surprised me is S4 (when it launched) and note 3 are declared at more or less the same price. But note 3 is a 3GBRAM, faster CPU, 32GB internal memory with 5.7 inch screen. How can that be ?

At around aug, the s4 import price drops from 25k to around 23k something. Did not matter whether you bought a 100 or a 1000 units, that was the price you paid for s4.

There was one fluke i noticed in the data, only to calcutta where the s4 was priced at around 19k, dunno how they found it at that price but it was the only exception, 99% of s4's were coming in at 25k for the first few months then it dropped to 23.5k.
