Launch was 49k, so 43-44k in less than a month is surprising. Its the build up to diwali. i'd expect the price to rise after.

That was MRP 49900/- and not the retailing price it was available every where for 45.5k /46.5k when launched.

But its crazy strategy.
Absolutely nuts, who can say whether sony will do the same in Feb.

So they are actually competing with themselves here in a race to destroy the competition. They are more interested in that than whether the new shiny phone you just bought has been deliberately devalued.

Only one way it ends here, the guys with the deepest pockets wins.

Sony are no good. One of my friends bought a Z1 for 45k on launch day. Within 10 days it was available for 40k everywhere.

close to diwali i think will be cheaper than after diwali. But a month or more note 3 price will inevitably drop. If s5 annunces in jan, it may drop still further.

Issues i see with note 3 are this knox business, the region locking thing, the lack or relatively less roms for it. General issues that will affect any samsung exynos flagship that comes out in the future. The 4.3 update for s4 has knox in it. You don't want knox then don't update. But then there is no way to get 4.3 otherwise.

After the headaches s4 exynos users had i would wait to see what issues note 3 exynos users are having. I hear the latest exynos chip does not heat up as much as the one in the s4. That's a positive sign. But so close to launch i'm leary.

Course if you're the type that will dump it after 3 months and go with something else then you've got nothing to lose. But if you plan to hold on to it until note 5 comes out then its too early to go in for it.

Also what is the benefit in buying the snapdragon model....still searching for a answer as most of answer I was able to find online just say SD is better then exynos but there is no reason WHY ?

With the note 3 i don't see any advantage, maybe little better battery life. Little better games compatibility. Do you really need to zoom in to your 1080p videos that you record. 4k allows you a lossless zoom which isn't there with exynos. Also there won't be any warranty. You'd have to get a region unlocked one, though i hear the s800's sold in asia don't come with that sticker like the eu & us versions. ok for now but no idea how long for. All it requires is a software update from samsung to enable.

With the S4, the exynos cpu used to heat up a lot, samsung has issued many patches since launch, the heating is more manageable but 3g browsing still leads to heating. So its something to get used to.

I think he suggested the SD version for supposedly better support from the development community. For a flashaholic that might make sense but not for others.

its one of the reasons why ive stayed away, lol i flash alot of roms, but i havent really looked into the xda threads for the note 3 as i still am confused weather to go for it or no, i know lte's not rolled out yet but were anyway paying a premium. with the Z alot of the 6603 roms worked fine with the 6602 model... i have no clue about the note 3

It seems to have better support, i count three for the SD but there isn't a single rom for the exynos yet. There does not mean there won't be any but it will be slow in coming.

A flashaholic should stick to nexus. Otherwise either sony or lg.

Hmmm. I mentioned the exynos for the 4K support .No idea why they eliminated the FM.Its still a good medium of entertainment in the metros atleast.
Also the SD has better heat management is what i have read.No idea if hat is true or not.Wish LG G2 had atleast 5.5" screen and maybe 3 gigs of ram.
I have a S2 and it had good ROM support on XDA.

Con is a strong word. There is no 4k. There is no LTE. The thing about 4k isn't you don't have a 4k tv as everybody keeps saying its the lack of lossless zoom when viewing a recorded 4k video on the 1080p screen. Its basically a 2160p video so 2x zoom.

What else is different ?

battery life is slightly better with SD, you won't see that in the shop
games compatibility is slightly better with SD, wait for exynos to catch up
Size, feel, screen, camera all is more or less the same.
Knox is present in both.
The exynos for the moment isn't region locked unlike certain SD models.
nobody, unless you're clued up even realises its the SD in display

What people are whining about is the asking price. I could not find anything really credible otherwise with those reviews which are more rants than reviews.

3rd party support is less for exynos compared to SD, something i think those buying note 3 do not care too much about.
