@dafreaking, even the battery benchmarks depends on many things ex. the user usage in various conditions and network coverage (3G, WiFi). It's like the bike companies announcing the Milege / Per lt. and then says *Under standard conditions.
True, but some of the tests seem pretty rigorous and decent indicators as opposed to synthetic benchmarks. I'm pretty sure it's not easy to "cheat" at battery benchmarks as it is with these synthetic ones. Even this so called 'cheating' is reducing the thermal throttling. Not like they have some secret code that makes the benchmarks higher.
I personally feel there is no proper way of estimating battery life per charge. It is highly subjective and depends on the usage of the device by the person.
So always the battery life claimed should be taken with a heap of salt.
Very true. Like 95% of my friends with iPhones complain all the time about the battery life but the iPhone(s) sore very highly on AnandTechs battery benchmarks.
