Samsung Galaxy Note - Discussion Thread

Prices of all Samsung devices going up by 5% in the next two days. If anyone wants to buy, then this is the right time to buy. Shops are already charging the premium.

I got this few days back.

To be honest I am loving it.

The S-Pen actually is more useful than one would imagine. You can do lots of crazy, stupid, productive and fun stuff with it that you wont be able to without something like S-pen.

Its massive for sure, but someone like me who is big with huge head and large hands, it fits :p

Its actually more usable than Streak. Fits in jeans and gents trouser pockets easily.
 
Even I couldn't resist the temptation and ordered one for 31K. Wanted to get it after a couple of months after a slight price drop (around 28K) but well....:D

I'll have to save it from my kid since otterbox would take its own time to come up with a commuter/deffender cover.

Hoping that the device won't disappoint me. (Life was miserable after I sold my streak)
 
to Note owners: Since Indian Note dont come with NFC, can we make it NFC capable by installing a battery with NFC?? Since AFAIK NFC chip is inside the battery (correct me if wrong) ... I agree its not much of use now but it could get mainstream in coming 2 years...

No. Battery does not have NFC chip.

NFC chip has to be in the phone.

Batteries of the samsung phones that comes with NFC has NFC markings, but that does not mean putting that battery in the Indian Note will give you NFC. It wont.

The only hope is NFC sim or NFC MSD cards which some companies are developing.
 
bought one yesterday. came with a cover too. will post up pics soon enough.. initial reactions.. its big.. though after using the iPad, everything seems tiny :p
 
Lol yeah ... but this is too big man .. S2 is small . I mean .. I wouldnt consider note small if a bigger phone came out . Because it is actually too big :/ .
 
Can the proud Owners of Galaxy Note comment on the battery life, am a heavy voice user and i want to check if i can get 2-3 Hrs talk time with normal Screen usage per charge.
