Sony MW600. Mine is still in transit.

Does it vibrate on an incoming call ? Otherwise wouldn't I need to have an earphone plugged in to my ear at all times to know if someone's calling ?

This is all considering the Note, is in my bag / away at times.

Edit: How much did you pay for it ? And from where ? Thanks!

Couple of friends bought Notes from that Surf-2-buy guy on ebay simply due to pricing of this phone locally. (About 2k higher).

Both phones came with broken seal. But phone was new. I dont know why these ebay dealers keep breaking seals on brand new pieces. Many do that. Not cool.

Even seal on that free flip case was broken.

Items are genuine Indian warranty pieces though.

I've been using the MW600 for months now.
No it doesnt vibrate on incoming calls, it produces a beep sound as an alert when somebody calls you.
Call volume and quality is quite ok. Not really that good, but above average. I can feel interferance and disturbance sometimes while on a call.
The stock earphones/IEMs are not so good in terms of SQ, i use my M2s with it, and they sound quite good.

Need suggestions on a bluetooth handsfree / earpiece for the Note.

1. Displays caller name
2. Voice support - Dial / Accept / Reject / Announce
3. Pairs with 2 phones at the same time.
4. Easy to clip on.
5. Doesn't look stupid. :P

Help!

SE MW600

1. Yes, it does. Also displays song details when liatening to music.
2. It supports and has a dedicated button.
3. Tes, it can, i have tried pairing it to 3 devices at a time.
4. Damn Easy!
5. Looks cool. More than 5 friends of mine have bought the same after seeing me using it.

:-)

Rocket v9 (not 9.1) + Abyss 2.3 is looking like something that I am going to settle on. As we are from India, the KL3 market issues that everyone faced with v9 does not affect us at all. Its fast, smooth and speedy.

Abyss 2.2 was little unstable so had gone back to 2.1, but 2.3 seems to have hit a sweet spot.

I was planning to checkout ROMOW's stuff but I am travelling a bit this week and will be out of station for few days. Dont want to be rom testing while on the road. SO will be sticking to this until next week.

Finally rooted the phone and flashed abyss 2.3. What are the advantages of using rocket v9 ?

These custom roms are highly tweaked and give you the best possible experience. There is just no way that any stock rom can match the performance of a well made custom rom. You may wait for Darkyrom though. From the way I see the Galaxy S guys jumping in excitement, it sure should be good :)

Darkyrom, well, just this iteration is not ready for primetime yet. I am going to wait and start using Darkyrom V5.0 onwards. As of now, the best combination of battery life and performance is MySam 2.0 (NOT 2.1) on Abyss 2.3

Is there a way to update the official firmware without using Kies? It is super slow and have been trying for the past 6 hours and it just doesn't happen.

the phone is a beast. feels great in the hand (have big hands) and its quite easy to get used to typing on this.

ps this is my forst android, previously had a BB curve.

@dafreaking you can get the update OTA by searching for downloads :)

KL3 is available on XDA - Was posted by Ketan there. Download and flash with ODIN

Gonna try OTA today... Tried downloading the KL3 from XDA but hotfile was super slow and twice crashed at 90% :@

PS. This phone is just loverly. Ordered from the same eBay seller and it was sealed.

UPDATE!

OTA update to KL3, what a painless procedure.

Thats great. I am kinda person who thinks "the bigger, the better"

BTW how much do you think I can sell my GS2s for. I am planning to sell the recently purchased one. Its approximately 4-5 days old.

How many would be interested in the USB Jig from DX - Unbrick Download 301K USB Mode JIG for Samsung T959/I9000/I897/M110S/I8700/I9100 - Free Shipping - DealExtreme ?

It is confirmed here that this jig works just fine. I managed to flash FM Kernel via ODIN like an idiot and I now have an increased binary counter and the yellow triangle on boot! And I have someone who needs to pay me 8$ and instead of asking him to pay back on Paypal with all its shitty rules, I'd rather ask him to order 5 of these and be done. So, 100 bucks shipped to anyone interested via Speedpost ?
