Android Sony Xperia Z Tablet thread

No sites in India listing it as of yet.

The Sony India page lists it as "Coming soon".

It lists only one model - SGP321 with 16 GB. There's no mention of a 32 GB version being offered here which totally sucks especially if the price I mentioned in the earlier link is correct. This would make it ridiculously overpriced IMO.

Pity, because I want one and would have preferred to buy it locally with an Indian warranty. Guess I will just get it from abroad at some point since its listed on Amazon for $599 and will be available from the 24th onwards...

Wait until next week. 4G model listed in India, certainly not intended for the Indian market (or maybe so at exhoribantly high prices).

I guess next week we might see shops listing it for order/pre-order
 
4G model will be 50k+. The Transformer Prime 3G was 50k at launch afaik, and I don't think the Tab Z will be any lesser.
 
Infibeam been doing some good work these days.
Even with the Nexus 4, the site stole a march over FK vis a vis pricing directly..
 
Looks pretty awesome. Expected release date? Does this also have the glass body like the original Xperia Z?
 
Well atleast its not 50k. Although if this is 45k, I'm guessing the WiFi only version will be in the 38k - 40k range now.
 
Both the 16Gb & 32Gb versions are already listed as temporarily "out of stock" on Amazon US so they must be selling well. Oddly enough, both Amazon US & UK are only offering the Wifi version. Wonder why Sony decided to launch the 3G version in India first rather than the Wifi version?

Hopefully, the Wifi version will be released in India soon near the 39k mark just like the Xperia Z mobile was considering their price is about the same (going by Amazon pricing).
 
16 GB 3G version - 44k
32 GB Wi-Fi version - 38k

No other model is being launched in India. dafaq... all my plans gone to WASTE!

Can anybody recommend the accessories I should buy with? I want:

- a bluetooth keyboard
- a bluetooth mouse (supported?)
- case/cover/dock/stand
- screen guard

I intend to buy these with the tablet.

I was using the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard with both my iPad and the Nexus 10. However once I started 'swyping' on the Nexus 10's default Android keyboard, I never used that keyboard again.
I would say give 'swyping' a try before buying a keyboard. You might not even feel the need to buy one.
 
Can we have people listing the diff prices and the model details available in the offshore mkts..? Something like USA/UK etc?
Lack of options along with heavier pricing is like a double slip from Sony.

Which place has the best pricing for this tablet..?
