Its a Resident welfare association that was complaining, not a few people. Buying milk cartons takes 10 minutes, do you say you can do a drug sweep of their apartments standing at the milk shop? Assess the people coming and going whole day for customers or normal people? Come on man, even those who investigate leave more scope for error than you are leaving.
When the police decline to take cognizance of your complain what do you do exactly? They called the police, they came, and instead of getting a warrant for preliminary search, they just denied. I mean if you thought someone was getting killed in the flat beside you, would you like if the police just said on the phone that no one is getting killed?
Yes Somnath Bharti got over zealous, but what do you do when the police declines to act and work for the people who have voted you to power? If the police had done its job, there would be no issue.
The policies HAVE TO BE MADE. They are not in place already cause its helps the politicians and their cause. How else do they get patronage from Corporates unless they can do favours for them?

The milk cartons were from the 24/7, which was hob-nobbed by the group during a similar time-period when the raids happened at Khirki Extension. You understand what a 24/7 is..? It is a utility store / grocery store..? Not a drug peddling site. It is smack in the middle of a huge complex which hosts a PVR multiplex, how could they mistake that for something else. I was just highlighting the audacity of this honcho-group, when I mentioned the 24/7, which was
not at Khirki Extension, but at Saket. Shows their outlook and boorish behavior, which we all thought would be given-away once the AAP comes in, but alas...!
24/7 = Utility store at Saket PVR Anupam Complex.
Khirki Extension = residential colony attached to Malviya Nagar, and bordering Saket from the back side.
The police denied the RWA..? Please come into Khirki Extension and see what actually it is. It is just a myriad of houses which are still trying to get government regularization (though I think it has been approved)..! I doubt it even has an authorized RWA. Nevertheless, the police are not supposed to deny such claims, but they should investigate. And AAP being in power and having the legitimate tools, could have handled this in a more civil and docile manner. The people accosted in this act, were treated in a virile and spiteful manner full on condemnation...! The ladies were made to urinate out in the open, cause they thought, they might run-away. Are they animals..?
No, Somnath did not get over zealous. He just acted like a dumb-ass and took the law in his hands, in this momentous display of strength he show cased the weakness of the: AAP.
Then they should start to make policies and put in due governance, instead of sitting on roads and disrupting daily life and ADLs. The former got them where they are, now it is time to deliver, instead of trying to be Crazy Diamonds waiting to shine..!
EDIT:
The 24/7 was "raided" cause the law-minister had information that establishments were running past normal times. Not pertinent to drugs. But what a way to check up on aspects. Why at night..? He could have called up the owner during the day, or asked one of his subordinates to do so.
