Messages do backup & restore perfectly with the backup . Intact when you restore it brings you back to the same message you were reading last before backup .
 
Guys.

I got my first iPhone, a 4s and have already Jailbroken it via Absinth.

I wanted to know which sItes/forums should i read to get the best out of my phone.

Already installed SSBSettings, iFile, Winterboard.

Please suggest some good repos and/or apps from Cydia that can help me change the whole look of the phone.

Also is their app analogous to Titanium Backup /CWM on Android, that can help me backup and restore my phone completely or restore on another iPhone(other than iTunes)
 
One of the best cydia tweaks to hit the scene is "icaughtu". It clicks the picture with phones front facing camera and mail it to a specified email address with geotags added if somebody tries to get in the phone with incorrect pass code lock. It's really cool and lite version is free while pro which is integrated with find my phone costs a bit more.

Another tweak is intelliscreenx. It's adds so many cool things to the iOS notification center and looks pretty cool too.
 
^^ i have done many times backup/restore on my phone while doing updating OS, SMSs always gets restored along with camera folder, mails, contacts etc.
 
Hey Guys need help !!

I have recently purchased iPhone 4 from a friend and upgraded my IOS to 5 ... since i was noob at it .. i accidently upgraded my baseband to 4.11.08 .. Now i am stuck with no unlock option ... i live in gurgaon .. can people suggest me what to do ?? how can i get it working ??

Sorry to say, you are screwed. No unlock for 4.11.08 exists yet.
 
I know that i am screwed !!1 But i heard you can get teh chip changed inside .. any idea if this can be done in karol bagh

Nothing much can be done untill devs release a unlock till then use it as a expensive iPod.

Anyone here using SPIRE on iphone4 ??If yes please post a working guide here .Free proxy servers are $ucky and hardly work pointers to any paid servers please.
 
My Dad's iPhone 4 just got stolen a couple of hours ago

He was on a traffic signal, with doors unlocks (Why on earth, I have no idea)

Tracked the guy through Find My iPhone but he gave it to someone by the time they caught him.

Now he won't talk and the phone is off again.

This was in Mumbai in Goregaon on Western Express Highway.

Shaken of sorts right now.

If there is anyone who might be able to help in anyway, please do. Please...

The new Gevey SIM that is supposed to launch by end of February is supposed to unlock phones with latest baseband including 4.11.08

There's nothing much you can do until he starts the phone again and hope that he does not restore firmware or turn off the tracking .

The only other way to get it is lodge an FIR with the police station of the area for theft and they can surely trace the phone (Have experienced and got it back ) . Only issue is the police won't file a report unless you have some contacts in there or higher up

FIR filed. Phone is still switched off. Nothing to do but wait.

Dad will find contacts in the morning. The bigger problem is that I/He can't find the box which has the imei number...
 
As advised earlier everybody download and install "ICaughtU" Cydia tweak. What it does is that after n number of unsuccessful attempts to log in the iPhone it clicks a photo from the front facing camera and mails it to the specified account with geotags on it. Pretty neat and and above all the lite version is free. Have it and tried it and it works flawlessly.

Did you ever use TinyUmbrella to save your SHSH ? It will have your iPhone details with IMEI, I think.

I will check the app. I think I did save the blobs.

Gevey SIM for iPhone 4s has been launched at a preorder price of $55.

No respite for iPhone 4 users though, the ones who had upgraded to 4.11.08.
