If you see what I have now used !! ........ I have used a nail polish from my wife's dressing table. (I hope she does not see it !! :) ) I used a milky white nail polish but the stoopid LEDs are still too bright.
 
Use blu tac

I guess the problem for you is that the keyboard casing is transparent as well so you wont be able to completely mask out the light

Ordered from Head-direct.(special thanks to Stalker for the help).

There service was super fast but the Indian Customs babus kept it for 2 weeks.

Damage was ~2.6 k.

no Custom duties paid :hap2: Head-direct had marked it as a gift item and undervalued it to 5 US $. (~Rs.500).

Looking at the packaging i feel ,the customs opened it to check it.

The contents are intact though.;)

The custom faithfully check each and every package. I've seen them working.

And they check and try to pack it the same way they open it. They do a good job. :)

what bluish tinge ? err I think it's cause of some post processing on the images (auto adjustments).

I haven't got a perfect seal till now..the 2 x transparent bi-flange are quiet hard and the rest of them are too small and dont fit properly.

will have to do more trials to get it perfectly.

First impressions of the RE-2

They sound very good.Lot better than what i was expecting,especially the detailing and soundstage is amazing.:hap2:

Bass is lacking at times..might need a Fiio E5.

Overall it was worth upgrading from the PL-30(I wasn't sure if i would notice any difference.) but they turned out be in a totally different league.

congrats on the HDD .:hap2:

The RE-2 are a lot better and more detailed compared to PL-30 .the soundstage and effects are also amazing .. I feel as if there 2 drivers in each ear-piece producing different range of sounds.:eek:hyeah:
But the bass is quiet low (less than PL-30 too)..The sound is more emphasized on detailing and it's a bit thin. as in the sound is not fuller , maybe it will sound better after burn-in.
If you like more bass ..then Ne-7m's may suit you other wise get a RE-2 + Fiio E5 combo.I ve read on head-fi that bass boost of E5 makes the RE-2 sound a lot better(without affecting mids)
I will try to get a E5 soon.

Once my exams are over and vacations start ,I will write a RE-2 Review . Right now there's not much time for music.
 
Whats the difference between the PK and the PI ? both seem similarly priced and have the same timings
 
Dunno. I got heard from Harshal saying that Udit is using this kit and they are good. Did some fiddling around the bios so here are some screenshots.

PI Black is 800mhz 4-4-4-12 1.8v at $55

PK is 1066mhz 5-5-5-15 2.0v at $59

PI Black 1066mhz 5-5-5-15 2.0v costs $72

PI Silver 1066mhz 5-5-5-15 2.1v costs $80

my PK did 1100mhz 5-5-5-15 performance level 7 with 2.06v
