cheers.

too lazy to go through the whole thread.

Re: The Fitness Thread !

u need to increase ur testosterone ( a steroid hormone in your body ) to decrease fat - the common way to shed the mid section is u need to rip the body completely by taking 1.5gms of protein per 1 kg of ur body weight ratio daily by doing 1 hour of cardio daily - under HIIT (high intensity interval training )

with in 2 week the mid section will be wipped out !

Reduce ur carb intake ( make 150 gms of carbs = 150 gms of protein ) 1:1 ratio

most stomach bloating is tend to sodium intake so dont worry it ll go of in 2 days the water retention in mid section !

I hope this helps !

Re: The Fitness Thread !

He buying a separate preacher bench is kinda investing too much but thats his wish. Normal bicep curl is a standard bicep exercise and best for biceps is chin-up power!

do not take fat burner pills
they do a lot more harm than good(if any)

stick to plain basic proper Researched diet+exercise
there are things listed under 'health foods' which are actually bad for you, read about it

But if ur above 25 years ur progress will be slow and ur body once catch up the mass which u already have then it be re-filling if u even take 50gms of fat per day - so unless u wont make ur core heat the fat wont reduce !

Pure thermogenic fatburners are good unless ur tolerance to caffeine or allergic !

see all fat burners have caffeine Anhydrous 100mg which equals 2 cup of coffee !

Re: The Fitness Thread !

Hey guys,

I am nearly 5'8''. I ballooned to 95 kilos till a few months back. However with proper diet change and yoga i've managed to reduce 10 kilos and am now at 85 kilos. Now i want to start gyming too. This is my usual schedule:

1)6:00-7:00 am - Yoga

2)Two apples for breakfast

3)Three chappatis + Dal + Sabzi for lunch (between 12 - 2 pm)

4)A long evening walk

5)Three chappatis + Dal + Sabzi for dinner (between 7:30 - 8:30 pm)

Earlier i just used to fill myself up with junk food, but now i've made a concious decision to change my lifestyle.Just by following this schedule i've managed to lose 10kg within two months.

Just as with yoga , i want to make gyming a part of my lifestyle rather than just a few months affair. However i am completely averse to the idea of using supplements and i want to gym just to tone down and increase my strength. I can avail the services of my college gym for 4 days a week and would like to start from the next week. Also i would like to adopt the HIIT cardio program, but can't decide whether to do cardio before or after the workout and there are people out there voting for both school of thoughts.

As for gyming i'll be mostly using barbells and dumbbells. So kindly guide me to the start of my journey.

Re: The Fitness Thread !

1. Cardio after the workouts.Or possibly during off days. But this slowsa down the process of strength gain.

2. Your food needs protein.Amount of protein should be equivalent to your body weight roughly.Focus on natural protein sources.Restrict whey to max 2 times per day if you have to consume it.

Re: The Fitness Thread !

I need some help. I'm a thinnish guy, I'm about 5ft 8 in tall, and I weigh about 59-60kgs now. I joined a gym about 2 months back, and I've been going there regularly. I've supplemented my diet with 2-3 eggs, and 1.5ltrs of milk/day + 1 serving of whey protein. I'm sure I'm getting enough nutrition cos I've put on about 3kgs since I joined the gym.
The problem I'm facing is that I'm not getting much stronger. Or bigger. I don't really care too much about size, but I really want my strength to increase. My legs have become stronger, and I think I've added about 60-70% on my leg curls and presses, but I'm still lunging with the same weight, and my bench press strength hasn't increased. Also, when I'm doing cable rows for my back, I haven't seen any strength increase there either.
I'm also not feeling too energetic anymore.
I've begun working out "all-out" only 2 days a week, and the other times I only put in 60-70% of the effort it would take to tire me out.

In my gym they want us to do 20 reps of everything, and only 2 sets of each exercise. I'm on a plan where I do about 6 different exercises for my lower body on 1 day, and another 6 for my upper body on another. I do cardio every 3rd day. I'm looking to get more athletic, and quicker in general, so I want to continue with the cardio.
But I really need some advice on how to gain strength.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Re: The Fitness Thread !

High rep count is dumb. If strength is your priority, focus on increasing weights. 5 reps with proper technique is sufficient. And try going all out three or four times a week with all rest in between.
