The Fitness Thread !

Re: The Fitness Thread !

@ rockfella

When cutting fat , the hair loss was heavy due to iron and many mineral defects , i hate multivitamin it always does adverse effects , iron and other mineral rich foods have fat and more carbs so its not good for cutting

Those who r losing fat , just keep in mind to take vitamins and mineral tabs recommend by ur doctor

Re: The Fitness Thread !

Bad news: Setback! (Not major though!)

Good news: Swimming = hydro-therapy (Plus so many numerous advantages!) Don't sit at home like i did (when i injured my shoulder, i trained for three months then gave up as pain increase due to winters, keep on doing something :)

Hit an obstacle again.Encountered a muscle spasm during OHPs.A weeks physiotherapy helped me.I am almost like I was b4 the injury but cannot lift weights for 1-1.5 months more.Serious demotivation. But neverthelss, I will slowly start swimming.will help in my injury healing due to the resistance.Plan to involve interval training after a few weeks. But first I ahve to check if the pool is still open or shut down. It's been 3-4 years:)

By the way, the new physio I consulted is damn good. The pain due to the disc bulge+muscle spasm went down a lot in just 1-2 days flat.Manusla massage on the jured area, traction, ultrasound treatment and vibration(2 electrodes placed at different points on the injured area) were the treatments.

If any bangalore peeps want the details for this physiotherapist, I can give you guys details. He i9s really good.Listens to the problem patiently and know the importance of martial arts, workouts and fitness in general unlike other stupif doctors who get impatient and say "Stop gymming for a while".
One can have supradyne multi-vitamins, very cheap too. Have for 2 months quit for a month, cycle it. U aimed for fat loss without strength training, try to maintain the weight now, it might be difficult.

Ideally you should be deadlifting much more than squats. Try to get it higher....150 kgs + (330 lbs+) You are strong man! 55 kg OPH is not bad so is 100 kg squat! Work on regularly increasing weight in all exercises, linear progression is the key!

my 5x5 progress....

squat 220lbs

benchpress 160lbs

OHP 120lbs (failed in last set with 3rep)

deadlift 220lbs

As winters have set in i am getting lazy towards training... but still workout.

I got a new bar (thicker/heavier) and realized had a little flaw in squats so corrected that yesterday.

Re: The Fitness Thread !

Saputo is a world known brand of cheese, that is probably why they can afford to make sell cheap whey. I ordered from lbnutrition (ebay) more than a week ago but yet to recieve the courier, still waiting.... can't really say how good it is. Don't buy from quacks who claim it is flavoured because it is NOT flavoured! Amazing value for money if it is really good. Will keep you posted whenever i actually get the packet!

Morning :)

Re: The Fitness Thread !

let us know how it tastes. I'm having too much milk now-a-days to meet my protein requirement, and am having too much fat in the bargain. If I could add this to my porridge/coffee with water or even skim milk it'll be a life saver.

Re: The Fitness Thread !

^ It is UNFLAVOURED bro! Whole milk will give you upto 6% body fat in two months ( 6% is average if u have 4 liters of WHOLE milk a day!) however you will train hard you will gain serious muscle and strength, once you stop the milk your body fat will go down soon. If you train with same weight for months nothing much will happen. Try to lift more in every session, this is impossible with huge increases like 5kgs on the bar everytime but is effective if you add 2.5 kgs (total weight) in every workout.

Re: The Fitness Thread !

Rockfella .. I know it's unflavoured, that's why I want to know how my coffee will taste if I use it instead of milk...I'm drinking cows milk now, and it's got about 3% fat. 2 litres a day is giving me a belly...not something I'm aiming for. If I could replace milk with this, I'd be getting my protein requirement without the unwanted fats. But if it tastes like crap in my coffee, then I'd rather just get fat!
