Read somewhere that the dharma guy's son shown in the beginning of the episode could be miles :|. That is definitely possible i would say..considering they look alike :P

^Anything is possible in LOST. I won't be surprised if that turns out to be true since miles is a main character this season.

Genius they are. If you remember Locke gave sayid a compass which pointed north in season 1. We finally had an answer to where it came from in this season. Just imagine, the writer had thought through all of this, they knew exactly what the storyline was and what they were showing. Brilliant is the word. Unlike other TV series where they make new episodes according to TRP's , LOST writers actually know what they are doing.

I

Agreed, the writers seem to figure out the whole story line before they started to shoot. They are so many missing links connected in between seasons.. wow

Wish the same would have happened with prison break which seem to have lost its charm. BARGAIN, wtf is that . Lost on the other hand is going strong even in the 5th season

So did you guys watch the third episode? I was totally blown away.

CHARLES WIDMORE USED TO BE ON THE ISLAND. But was he an Island Original? Did he start to age once he left the Island? Or do only some Island Originals not age (like Alpert)? And how did he leave the Island? Was he kicked off? Why does he think that Ben "stole it" from him? It sure didn't look like he was "owning" it when Richard was bossing him around. Maybe he simply views Ben as "ruining" the Island once he started running the show, and Widmore doesn't so much want to turn the Island into a theme park, but wants to restore it to its natural, pre-Ben order when they were able to have babies and lived peacefully. Or is the reason Widmore got booted because he wanted to go commercial on the Island? Lots to think about here.

Okay check this out : Next episodes preview

YouTube - Lost Season 5 Episode 4 Preview

Did you catch the scenes from the preview from next week? Showing Locke seeing the light shooting up from the Swan Hatch (the ending scene from "Deus Ex Machina"!) as well as Sawyer stumbling upon Kate helping Claire deliver Aaron (the ending scene from "Do No Harm"!) Time to go back and re-watch some Season One episodes!!

What this means pretty much blows my mind though. Does that mean that Sawyer, Locke etc could run into themself? :O

Wow!! Season 5 is becoming the best ever LOST season. :D LOST fans are finally getting paid for sticking with the show !! :)

Dude HEROES is Bull crap compared to LOST ..... LOST is basically a story of the survivors of a plane crash .....

Telling anything beyond this is pointless since you have see to believe how good it is.....

And a word of warning ... Watch it from the beginning in order.. DO NOT WATCH random episodes.. IT WILL RUIN IT FOR YOU ...

Also have FAITH in the show when it slows down somewhere around the mid season 2... It will get a bit slow and you might get frustrated but stay with it .... Because the most interesting parts of the story happens in Season 3.

And for those who have watched Ep 3 of season 5. It was amazing ......

What I do not understand is won't LOSTIES going back in time and killing the others affect the present ? IN the last 3 episodes itself they killed off 3 others....

-- Daniel Faraday

Why was Alpert present when Locke was born? Because Locke told him when it would happen, and Alpert went there as a way to determine if Locke was telling the truth. This must have semi-blown Alpert's mind, since he continued to visit Locke over the course of his youth - and this helps explain why the Island Originals all thought he was so special... because he is a freaking time traveling, future predicting "old guy"!

Watch the 2nd episode of the current season( season 5). A guy called hurley will summarize the entire story for you

^Lol ... yeah, that was awesome

Plus he is no longer crippled...

That doesn't make him special. He is no longer crippled because the island has healing powers. Even Rose was cured of her cancer on the island.

Locke IS special, remember he has looked into the eyes of the island

I am not sure if you were being sarcastic, but if you weren't then that does not make Locke special. Every Lostie is speacial in their own way. And anyways as we saw in the latest episode, the others consider Locke special because they are fascinated by his time traveling abilities which we know is not unique to him.

@ Faheem : As Scarezebra suggested, if you truly want to live the LOST experience then start from season 1 episode 1 and make your way till the current season. But if you do not have that much patience then you can download the LOST season 5 catch up episode. It will summarize the whole story of LOST till season 5 in 42 minutes. PM me for more details.

There is another way which is not recommended. 86 Lost episodes condensed down into 4 minutes and 51 seconds… even less if you take out the 20 seconds of ABC advertisements at the end. If you have never viewed an episode of Lost in your life, here’s your chance to get the quick and dirty 100,000 foot view of the series. I don't recommend it, watch it only if you must :

Not just because he's a time traveler, he was special even before others were found. He understood the island better than others. He knows about some things more than Ben does. People who understand the mystic truth behind the island more than Locke are probably Jacob, Richard and Charles. And probably the only one to have successfully confronted the smoke monster other than Mr. Eko.

And yeah, I was not being sarcastic. (I left the next line unsaid - What I saw, was beautiful. No one else has described the island in this way. To everyone else its a mystery, science and energy source). Tells of how quickly he realised he was meant to be here. Thats speacial.

Here's something else to think about. Is the Girl Soldier on the Island Faraday's Mom as well? Remember how he said she looked familiar to him? Well, if Widmore is off the Island, it would stand to reason that she could have left the Island as well. It would be a possible explanation for why she knows so much about the Island and how / where to find it. What do you guys think?

LOST is getting lost..

Too much back reference, remember not all the tv viewers have lost backed up on their harddisk..

Stil im managing to keep pace, just dont have the spare time or effort to dedicate to LOST..:(

Wil read all you guys analysis keenly though:P

^Let me quote my first post.

I will say this - these two episodes probably effectively turned off any "casual viewers" of the show. It's probably going to take 100% brainpower from people to be able to keep up and appreciate how awesome this show is getting. After teasing the "sci-fi" angle for the first four seasons, it jumped in head first into the deep end with the start of Season Five. Thus far, I'm quite impressed. It takes a lot for a show to challenge me, but Lost gave me all the challenge I could ask for and more.
