lol..guys..keep the flamewars out :). but i kinda felt Jughead as a episode name didn't suit the episode..

P.S heroes fugitives feb 2 premier i think :)

^Well the episode meaning was totally literal. "Jughead" was the name of that atomic bomb. Remember what Faraday told Desmond when he started to become "unstuck" in time? He asked if Desmond had been subjected to an intense does of radiation or electromagnetic energy. Clearly, Desmond had been exposed to the later in the Swan Hatch, and he needed a Constant. But Daniel also had a Constant. Why? Well, guess who was just exposed to a high does of radiation in this episode when inspecting the Jughead?

What I do not understand is won't LOSTIES going back in time and killing the others affect the present ? IN the last 3 episodes itself they killed off 3 others....
I think I understand how the skipping all works out now... and it's exactly how Faraday told us originally. Whatever happened, happened.

There aren't two timelines, one where Locke shows up and talks to Alpert in 1954 and one where he doesn’t. There's just one - the one we saw - where Locke shows up and tells Alpert about Jacob, that he will be the future leader of the Others, and the date of his birth. Even though we didn't know about this interaction until this episode, it's always been there. Alpert has known about it since we first met his character in Season Three. The confusing part here is that it brings up a tricky "chicken or the egg" scenario in my mind that seems to create an infinite time loop. Here's what I mean:

* In 1954, Locke tells Alpert information about his birth and that he will be the leader of the Others.

* Because of this, Alpert monitors Locke from his birth, and is in effect "waiting for him" to arrive on the Island (you could even argue that Alpert sent Abaddon to put the thought in his mind about going on the Walkabout).

* Because of this, Locke ends up on the Island and becomes leader of the Others.

* Because of this, he visits Jacob's Cabin and finds out about moving the Island, relaying the message to Ben.

* Because of this, Ben turns the FDW which causes him to skip in time.

* Because of this, Locke visits Alpert in 1954 and tells him about his birth.
If you think about time in a straight-line fashion, similar to the "string" example that Faraday used in the season premiere, this initially sounds impossible because the first step in this timeline can't exist without the last - and the last can't exist without the first. However, if a person thinks about time as more of a loop - where there is no beginning and no end, this would make total sense - of course the events are circular. The end becomes the beginning and the cycle repeats, which means there isn't any problem with having an "infinite loop" like this.

^^ Guess that makes sense ....

Also even I have a feeling that the young blonde chick in 1954 is Daniel's Mom and Charles widmore could be his father.....

I watched 4 seasons of Lost in 2months. Its getting too complicated now and I love it....But the 1week wait isnt helping. I have decided to watch Season 5 after the end of the entire season. 40mins a week isnt enough... I want to see them back to back.

Watching Heroes now. Heroes is good but I cant find myself immersed in it. Not the same as Lost.

Edit: Its too tempting. Also, I might lose continuity if I wait 6months. Maybe il change my mind...

Analyzing each and every episode to its core each week is the beauty of LOST and a part of the whole LOST experience. You'll be missing in on a lot of minute details if you watch the whole season in one go. Anticipation is what makes the experience even more great :D But yes, I would have settled for 3 days instead of a week :P

Just saw ep 4... I just love this show!!!!

Yippee Jin is alive!!!!! Jin meets Russo when she was pregnant!!! WTF!!! :D

they dropped an easter egg when daniel asks miles are you sure you haven't been in the island before..which now confirms that the boy in the start of the season was miles !!!

After watching the Ep4 sure i am sure the writers are f%$^ing the viewers heads :bleh:

I don't think they have any plans to finish the show. The show is becoming torture day by day where one would literally pull hair from his head out guessing the story. What bomb are they dropping on us next.

Actually its a GIVEN that Daniel, Charlotte and Miles were selected to come to the island because they all have already been to the island before....
BTW in the latest episode when Charlotte woke up after passing out and when she asked Daniel "Who are you ?" I was like WTF!!!! I was going to go with the whole theory that either of Charlotte's parents were killed during the flashes and the encounter with LOSTIES and because of this the entire fabric of time was altered and since her parents died before she was born(..and hence the rules were BROKEN) so she is was never born and hence she is slowly dying......
But then in a few seconds I realised the writers were just playing around :p
All my theories went down the drain ......

Man the only series i like now is 24 coz at least after 24 episodes we get to see a new story

I am not sure if you know this but abc has already announced an end date for it. LOST is ending in 2010 after season 6 with both Season 5 & 6 containing 16 episodes each. This means that we have only 28 more episodes of LOST left:(, So rest assured the writers know exactly what they are doing.

14 episodes each season & not 16

IMO , the 4th episode was pretty average. It had the potential to be freaking awesome but it didn't capitalize on the proceedings. As it turned out the off-Island storyline with the Oceanic Six just seem kinda boring in comparison. And how awesome could it have been if the time skipping Locke would have talked with the past Locke or if Sawyer would have talked with Kate?

This week pretty much confirmed that Miles WAS the baby from the season premiere, since Faraday hinted that he had spent some time on the Island before. So Charlotte has spent the most time (at least a few years), followed by Miles (again, years), then Juliet (who has been there for quite some time herself). Is this why Desmond got the same nosebleed when he left the Island? Because he had been there so long? Again, this seems to prove that the bearing you come and go to the Island on is extremely important, and I think the Others know it.

BTW .... CFL ran into Jin in 1988 - so why didn't she recognize him when they ran into each other in 2004? :S

JIN is ALIVE!!! Thats kinda cheesy plot twist actually. But it gives Sun a reason to return back to the island. Remember the whole oceanic six have to return to the island in order to save it theory?

^^No i don't think Michael is alive ....I am not exactly sure but I think he was pretty close to the bomb when it exploded..... And Christian sheperd was there just before the bomb exploded and he said "Its time" ..> Which meant he had done his part and he could die now.....(he couldn't commit suicide earlier..because teh island wudn't let him)

Also I heard that he is pretty pissed with the producers of the show for having given him such a short role last season .. so i don't think he is coming back.....

:) Its 17 episodes each season ...... It was initially planned for 16 episodes for each of the last 3 seasons.. but because of the Writer's strike last season .. They have decided to make some adjustments and compensate in the last 2 seasons ...... If you made the above statement looking at the episode list in Tv.com (because they have a list of only 14 episodes this season)..... thats because they do not reveal the episode names of the season finale until its the right time .... Cos the name itself cud reveal the plot....
