is there going to be a price drop for the samsung i450 netime soon ? neidea ? is it available cheaper in dubai / singapore ? i really like the phone....symbian m, excellent keypad , doable - sound levels and screen quality ...and it s a lil bling bling too.....i wouldnt mind buying it....but at the current levels i would not like to buy it....

frankly,price drops for samsung phones are just unpredictable!

ony in a few months time can u expect a drop,i.e when sales slow down and only by a margin of 1.5k~2k max..

i feel the current price of 12.8k is the best you can get!

but then .....for 12.8k there are other options i can look too.....i can rather get the n73me edition in the price range.....bigger screen , better cam , oh! but a scR3wed up keypad for sure ....heheheheheh

wat about the quality thru ear phones... is it not sucky in e51 ??

ha, It is , but that is mainly because of the lack of proper 3.5mm jack
you can use the 3.5 mm adapter from 5610 i guess..

Take note that E51 loudspeaker is really low, so cranking out music throgh it is not a decent option

I450 : pls skip, only 18 mb free ram after boot up is asking for trouble on a symbian phone

why dont u increase your budget a bit and Go for N81???

yeah,And who's stopping you?! consider as many as you want..

btw,the n73me is quite popular for its features but the performance can be sluggish at times..

one can't always keep increasing his/her budget a bit and get a better phone..

good phone, my only crib is that the D pad buttons are a bit small....man the ringtones are great! :D but cant transfer them into my phone, says copyrighted :( any solutions?

it has bluetooth, can i sync with my lappy using bluetooth? or do i need a datacable anyways?

i am thinking of nokia 5320 at this price point coz its looks n specs on paper look killer.... if it elases at around 12-13k then i am game for it....

BTW the reviews of i450 that i have read claim that it is fast nearly as fast as S40 phones??

It is fast because the proccy is same as other new Nokia's...
But the amount of Ram affects the multitasking ability....
Just to give you an Idea, free ram (after bootup) in some comparable devices

N73 - 18-20mb
N81 - 41-44 mb
N95 8GB: 89 mb
5320 : 80-89 mb
E51 : 45-50 mb

'aka911' is right about a faster processor incorporated in the i450..

Unfortunately..
All nokia phones under 4k featuring a pop-port have a camera!
Very few phones in this segment support usb connectivity thro' pop-port.

If your ready to compromise on the pop-port,check out the fllg:
Nokia 2310 ~ 2.1k (tt:6hrs)
Nokia 6030 ~ 2.4k (tt:3hrs)

The only two options:

1. HTC Love P3350 ~ 13.5K
2. HTC Touch ~ 13.3K

Sorry,No 3G & GPS to meet those specs for under 16k..

ASUS P 527 @ 14.5K GPS with indian maps included
ASUS P320 @ 12.5 K GPS - no maps, no FM
HTC P3300 @17K
