Need advice for best Nokia budget phone, for someone over 60 years.
Budget : 4-5k

GPRS/3g - Not required/optional
Camera - Not required/optional
TouchScreen - NO
Looking for good call quality and ease of use, screen should we bigger then those 1k phones, basically for easy reading of contacts etc..

Was also looking into Nokia C2-01 also, what are the major difference with X2.

Found

X2 has a better camera, but that is not my criteria.

C2-01 has a better battery according to spec.

Any pro and cons?

X2 has a slightly larger 2.2" screen compared to 2" screen of C2-01. The X2 also has better speakers, headphones and music quality than the C2-01.

Yeah, as you say the C2-01 has a better battery.

Which Android phone for around 10K ? My wife's 5800 has become 2 old. How is Samsung Y S5360 ?

3 Requirements on this. Would need the dedicated facebook app to work. Also need to make skype calls and last should support tethering

I am on the lookout for a phone ( would prefer it to be an android)

Usage:

1) Calls, sms

2) Browsing occasionally , 3G

3) No indian/chinese brands.

I don't wanna spend much , budget is in the 7-8k range.

And would prefer buying an android . from a physical store.

I like the Galaxy Y S5360, need to check out how it behaves. any other choices?

suggestion for a friend who needs an android/

options are motorola defy for 13k, the samsung galaxy sl around 18 k and samsung galaxy s around 20k.

motorola defy feels old( for him) since new one is around the corner, so want to know if there is any phone which can match upto the galaxy sl since the 20k is a bit pricey for him.

Hi, My friend needs a high end phone.. His budget is 22k. Since Galaxy S is out of stock everywhere, Galaxy S+ is the obvious choice for purchase. He's not willing to go for S II, but wants a decent phone at 20-22k.. Good battery and preferably AMOLED screen and decent camera is what he needs.. He doesn't experiment with Custom ROMs and all.. Any suggestion guys?

Motorola defy at 13k is the best offer you have. It can match up to the galaxy sl, it's not old, the new defy is exactly similar in every appreciable way.

You get official cm7 support which the galaxy doesn't get.

Galaxy sl lacks led flash which is downer even when you have 720p recording..

Pick up any used Motorola altrix that is on sale here... Best deal under 22k.. Or the Optimus 2x/black.

Altrix is the better choice, it will be getting the ICS update.

Need an Android phone for a non geek friend under 10K, totally confused which one to pick as the market is flodded with phones and its confusing for a iPhone user to select one.
