called flipkart today, they havent recieved the copies yet. They said may 30 or june 1st.

HATE TO W8.:@

I guess it must be the same for Nextworld too. BTW, why did you get it from flipkart when it is cheaper at Nextworld?

I checked the price at nextworld after i booked it on flipkart. Didnt anticipate that someone else would give more discount. and also had bought 3 games from flipkart before which they delivered on time.

But this w8 is too long. The *ahem version is already out and feel like to start playing already. :@

A noob question. The PC version of the game - will it be enjoyable on a keyboard? I dont have a contoller :ashamed: I havent played any of the Dirt games.
It is enjoyable on keyboard. Just not as enjoyable with a vibrating Gamepad .

Keyboard for better control and Gamepad for more fun.

They have updated on Nextworld that they will be shipping the game tomorrow (27th May).

BTW guys, I just realized that GRID has the flashback feature too. Now I have started playing GRID again. flashback makes all the difference. It makes the racing game forgiving and fun.

I have a similar relationship with racing games. Only racing game i really loved in the past 3-4 years was Burnout : Paradise.

Yeah Burnout Paradise is/was an awesome game... BTW is DiRT 3 like NFS Shit oh sorry Shift? If it is then i think i have just wasted my net's bandwidth... :@

I like racing games in which i can thrash other cars...

I am starting to hate all arcady/burnout style racing games..That doesnt mean am really good at sim racer's either :P..Half sim racers's like dirt/dirt2 grid with some assists on, is an awesome experience!

Finally got the game today. One word : "Awesome". Its a great game with awesome graphics, great presentation and fantastic gameplay. The game is also very well optimized, I had a very smooth framerate with everything set on high on a HD 5770. I have just played it for an hour but I found the game too easy even on harder difficulty. Maybe its because I have spent hours playing GRID, the controls are pretty similar but overall better than GRID. Its NOT a sim. The game has a very arcady feel to it. If you are used to playing NFS series, you are going to feel right at home with this. I always play racing games with a keyboard so I had no problems adjusting to the controls on this one. Overall, a very well made game. Worth a buy.

What the hell :ohyeah:, m getting 40fps at Ultra settings, 1920 x 1080, on HD4770. Unexpected. Wohooooo!! Bravo 550BE :hap2:, it was worth paying extra for the BE.

And i thought ill have to upgrade soon for Dirt 3 :bleh:

Its been a while since i played Dirt 2, Crashed like 10 times before getting used to the controls...

Sadly cant play on DX11 :ashamed:

it's your GPU not the CPU..

Hmm, 40fps on HD4770, so I think I can max out DX11 on this one.

I think its somewhat both, but inclined towards cpu coz when i disable cpu OC, the fps drop significantly.

And if i OC the GPU to 815/830, keeping the cpu OCed , the fps go up around 45.

getting around 38 FPS avg at full hd@ultra settings on radeon 5770. :)

Min 70. Avg 80. Fps...1080p Everything Maxed and whatever can be ultra...[via its inbuilt benchmark.]

First time when the game loaded it was an OMG moment for me....really stunning graphics....

Don't have much time to play but good the weekend is here...time to take the dust off that MOMO!!!!

--- Updated Post - Automerged ---

....ok now I gotta play quite a bit. First thing first the game is SUPER!!!

I tried with the keyboard etc but then had to bring out the MOMO and switched over to manual shifts, likewise with all the CMR series,

and I am in love with it...Can't wait to get more cars and start aiming for the WR!!!

Every few years a game comes out thats just perfect for you and you know you will be spending many many hours in front of it. Those are my initial impressions of this one.

Maybe its the series I love so much too but the game is great!!

I have completed 30% of the career, it has been an awesome experience so far. People who suck at playing sims need not fear as the casual difficulty in the game is almost similar to the style of the gameplay NFS series offers. Simply put, you can either play this like an arcade racer or you can crank up the difficulty and play it as a sim.

There are a couple of things in the game with which I am a bit disappointed.

1. Although you have an option to select from 4-5 different cars before a race you are only going to be stuck with a particular car because it offers the maximum reward points. Due to this, I am not able to select the cars with which I actually want to race. Reward points play a major role in career progression therefore it just doesn't make any sense to select a car which offers less reward points.

2. Unlike GRID which gave me incentive to play on harder difficulty, I get no such incentive in Dirt 3. If I was getting more reward points to play on harder difficulity, I would most certainly try the hard difficulty even if that means that I have to replay a race a few times. Weather you play on casual or advanced, you are going to get the same number of reward points hence there is really no need for me to punish myself by playing on harder difficulty.
