Malta 2012 - Valletta Harbour & a surprise visitor

At the end of May, beginning of June, my family & I went over to Malta to give ourselves a bit of a break, catch up with relatives, etc etc.... On the saturday, we thought we'd head tour around the island, see the sights, lo and behold, we're in the fortified city of Valletta and looking out at the Grand Harbour from the saluting battery at Upper Baracca, what do I see but INS Teg, (her pennant number F45), alongside at Marsa docks...

As an ex-serving member RANR, I can tell you that she was smartly turned out and a credit to her Captain, her crew and the nation.... It was such an unexpected pleasure to see a Commonwealth warship in the Grand Harbour once more...

Quite embarrassed to post these pics out here, but I'm a total noob when it comes to photography, so I guess criticisms will help me click better.

All have been clicked in the night with very little light (nothing fancy, all from the front-yard). Mostly the ISOs are bumped up (due to low light and no tripod; in the range of 2000-6400 IIRC; D5100 with a 18-105mm). No extra lighting source apart from a couple of bulbs. No flash fired in any.
Please point out the flaws so that I can shoot better. :)

^^ Apart from lighting, I think the leaf in the foreground spoils the composition.
