For anyone about to buy, I'd suggest investing a little more and getting a bigger mem card. I found the 4GB I picked up last week filled up real quick once I put some of the newer games on it and had to swap it for an 8 GB yesterday. Somebody told me the 8 GB would slow down the system but I've found things running as quick as ever... maybe it's a 'fat' issue?

Buying a PSP with a really small card is like getting a very sexy car with a tiny gas tank. ;)

hey well i bought psp slim today from delhi palika and got a gr8 deal in 10400 i got psp slim + 4gb card + screen gaurd + slim casing + usb data cum usb charging cable + power adapter and 5 games i think i got nice deal

Hmmm.. good deal, considering that u got 5 games which they generally retail for around 80 to 100 per game.

I got all the same as urs but w/o any game and USB cable for 9.7K

A 4gb sandisk card costs 2.1k at Nehru place. Just got one last week. prices have really come down.. any idea..

how much does a 8gb cost? also is there a problem with 8gb cards and the psp phat?

i wanna go 4 d PSP slim .... have collected some moolah ! :P

now here is the HARD DEAL !

my frnd went 2 get a PSP he got one untill the very next day he found out that

it cannot play ISO/ahem games !! thru stick

so he went again and asked 4 a replacement !!! so they agreed and told him

that if he buys a modded PSP he will get it for 9K with no gurantee ...

and it may brick any time and the repairing cost are very expensive !!!

so he din take the PSP and got cash refund ....

now i am doin alot of homework regarding the PSP these days .... and i dont

think the soft mod can completely RUIN the PSP slim !

but i am still scared to do so !!!!

can any1 frm MUMBAI can help me with everything...... from place of buying + modding the PSP slim.......

but not the ISO i will not ask for any ISO's frm u !! i will download hell lotta them myself !!!

:P i cant pay u much but i will gv u a small MCdonalds treat :P + Many & any

cool PSP iso's too.....

Anyone can download ISO's man ...

its all about proffesional and step by step modding ..

When someone is charging, you gotta believe..

Anyway Renegade above, modded my PSP which I still need to take it from him... you can courier him your PSP..he may do it..

^ lol, I don't mod psp's for a living :P . I'm sure one of the members from mumbai will be able to help you out with it. A psp slim can also be flashed with custom firmware without having access to a fat psp, it requires opening up the battery and removing eeprom pin from it . It's way to risky and you also end up screwing over your warranty. So find someone with a Memory card + psp fat.

guys ive got one noob question

can i have multiple memory cards fr my psp.. im runing 3.92m-33 and im not sure wether the firmware is loaded on the memory stick or on the psp??

so can i get another 4 gig card ?? how do i go about it do i just copy paste all the old folders from my current memory card to the new one??

U dont need to do anything, get as many cards as u want and just format them on ur PSP once and load them with as many stuffs as u want and go on a swapping spree whenever u want :P

ok.. All you guys wanting custom firmware in mumbai, I'll get it done for you over a beer or something.

I work in Andheri West near lokhandwala and could meet you guys there one evening somewhere in the area. I'll install 3.80 m33-5. Upgrading after that is easy as hell.. You just need a wifi connection.

Lets keep this open for a week to see how many want it done.

1. I hope you know you void your warranty.

2. I will not take any responsibilty for anything goin wrong although I have installed CFW on around 10 PSP's till date withought issues.

3. Dont ask me for any games.. I dont have any and you can download them yourself.

4. I dont take any payments. You can pay for my beer.. If you are really a cheapo, i'll pay for it myself.

5. Somebody else please take on whatever little mini organisation this takes.

5. This could be an April fools Joke !! :)
All you need to bring is your PSP :)

PPl without PSP's can come for a beer anyway !!

ive been smitten by d PSP since a very long time..
iv been wantin to get one since 3 yrs now... n its high time i actually got it

im plannin on getting one in mid-late april ....ive been doing some research
and the following is what i could gather

NINJA TRADERS - PSP SLIM - Rs 8300.......CRACK - Rs. 500 extra..

Most Heera Panna Shops - PSP SLIM - Rs 8000 - Rs 8200........CRACK - Rs. 750

Sandisk 4gb PRO DUO - Rs 2250 ( Lamington Rd... thts whr i stay, so thats the best price approx)

The market is flooded wid Sony Fakes ........i found a 4gb sony pro duo for 1250 !!

shocking but true...

Guys.... I am also getting a PSP & went to the Sony World... Its selling for 9k with no games or memory stick... 2 GB stick was for Rs. 1750/- there....

It was the slim model & 'Icy Silver/Grey' color.....:S

Whats the opinion on this.... Should I go for it or look around in the gray market....
