That is what precisely i am talking about .Why does it mute the call .It has to disconnect the call .I mean when ur using hands free u accept a call and u click the same button to disconnect it .At times i forget that this this mutes and i press it people on the other end do not hang up and i am my balance is going low .

thanks vikid,guess ill have to make the big trip to noida then.Flying back to new zealand on the 30th,so i have to get it this week.
still on the fence though,i heard the 2.1 unofficial rom is sluggish and has a lot of problems.thinking of getting a used hero or magic instead,and flashing it to 2.1(+ sense UI).

^^what are your initial impressions?what phone are you switching from? how do you find the screen quality and responsiveness and the build quality of the phone?

If u are getting warning message sayin unsigned drivers just allow it to install .I had the same problem did the same and its working for me.IIRC u fo get a microsd card reader use that rather than coping songs in thru the slow USB cable

@Sahibosaurus: My previous was a Sony Ericsson and this is like 1000 times better.. touchscreen responsiveness is around 80% of iphone but the screen is gorgeous.. better than the ipod touch i have. App support is amazing.. very simple and intuitive to use.

Finally checked prices,called up a few samsung authorised retailers and found the phone for 12.5k.ill be picking it up either today or tomorrow.it better be as good as you guys say it is
one question though.
are we even sure the phone will get a 2.1 update?what if we dont?wouldnt the galaxy then be the better option with its better features and similar price,since its running cupcake too?

The Galaxy is not going to get the eclair update any time soon.The Spica has already got the update but its available only to the European countries.If u want to install the 2.1 update,it can be done the ahem way.
