Welcome to the party Sire. No not really, but if you play the original certain characters will behave markedly very differently with you and certain paths will be open OR closed depending on your choices.

I am ready to sell my Limited Edition copy, but you will have to download the Enhanced Edition files and register the game. I will bundle all feelies [minus the paper dolls].
PM me if interested and we can work something out. Cheers!!

Well my gaming RIG cannot go online, so I cannot check if the OS is at fault.
On my fathers RIG which has Windows XP SP2, the game installs properly and starts downloading the Enhanced Edition directly. But due to lack of space on this [it has an 80GB Maxtor Diamond Plus], I cannot install the same on this.
CD PROJECKT RED has removed the download links for original updates which were available from their site, so I am bugging Ethan for help.
You can buy the DVD and the game guide + a few feelies from me and then you will just need to download the Enhanced Edition of the game. Even my authentication code is unregistered, you can register the game and claim your Digital-DRM free copy from GoG.com.
Okay guys is the enhanced edition worth 1.5k? I got the game from my friend its not this one. Although i am not sure i want to spend 1.5k right now on a game

I have already ordered this copy, I feel it is worth it.
Most importantly in the light of the fact that I do not have super-speed net connection and that my father doesn't allow me a lot of freedom to torrent / download stuff.

I have the original Witcher 2 copy as well, but sadly it has run into some issues. Putting it for sale this weekend, if nothing works on resurrecting it.
I have 2mbps Unlimited and no restrictions though. But i tired of downloading games. If i download and then play a game and if i liked it then im sad that i did'nt bought the game. Same stuffs has happened with me with Bulletstorm,Portal 2 and a few more.
the 15 gigs client is most likely the EE version. That one doesnt need any patches. Also, what issues are you referring to? Performance issues? Broken quests? I only played the original Witcher 2 and did not get any quest issues. Performance issues are basically dependent on what hardware you are running.

Yes you are right it is the EE version. Yup loads of peeps complaining about performance, if your read a couple comments under the tracker, they all convey the same message, our very own #[member='ALPHA17'] is having issues too.

oh..ok yea performance issues are there. Sorry, I assumed broken quest type of issues. Also, I feel the original Witcher 2 had better performance than the EE. Not sure if everybody has the same experience.
WOW! Gone for a couple of hours and the threads beaming with activity.
Jask, this game will make your graphic card worth it's purchase, far more than Mass Effect 3 ever did.
* Exit Vergen's main gate and head down the path that leads to the Battlefield.
* On the left there will be a path leading inside, a small carriage and house will be there.
* Also one of the Elven maids you rescued will be present.
* Talk to her, and get 'rewarded'.
Yes, I'll definitely do that. Vergen is a very nice place. I hated the Kaedweni camp location, but I love the whole atmosphere of Vergen. It's very warm and friendly.
Oh for properly unmasking Ele'yas, you will need to do a few things --
* You know the hairstylist of Vergen, she also stocks a few surgical tools, purchase those from her. She also has a book on autopsies.
* Investigate the dead bodies in the CATACOMB. After the first two steps and be thorough about this, you will soon get evidence.
* Next blame Ele'yas, he will deny the act. Go to Iorveth and confront him with the proof.
* Iorveth will allow you to 'handle the case as you see fit'.
* Encounter Ele'yas and take care of him. Enjoy the reward, also if possible send Dandelion inside, what ensues is quite funny.
Oh cool! I knew that I needed some sort of tool to inspect the object lodged into that corpse. Never knew it was connect to the quest. This is fantastic. You have nearly 3 different ways to approach it.

The performance issues are for people without a less capable gaming machine. Let's face it, this game is very demanding. If you lower the settings, you'll be sacrificing a lot of detail. You're covered, as far as performance issues are concerned. You card should easily pull this off on Ultra settings, minus Uber-sampling of course. The rest of the patches are filled with fixes for various issues and others with bonus content. The Enhanced Edition is the patch you should be aiming for. I haven't faced much issue with it, nothing game breaking, so to speak. In ALPHA's case, I'm sure it's something to do with his patching process. I have installed and patched the game nearly 10 times now and didn't encounter any major issues. So yeah, if you're concerned about performance issues, don't be. Just tweak everything through the game's launcher.
