What's your current configuration? Get the game from your friend, try it out and see how the performance is. If you're content with it, then the Enhanced edition (or any other edition), would be worth every penny you put into it.

Back to the game. Completed 'With Flickering Heart' mission last night and found myself completing it twice to witness different outcomes. Also, found 'Mottle', the Elven lady who I decided to save back in Floatsam and she decided to return the favour. Completed Poker Face: Vergen. Currently on the Harpy contract. I have one problem though, I'm running really short on Orens in this play-throug (

). I'm running short on materials to construct the Harpy trap.

How do you unlock the adrenaline rush ability early on in the game?

Dam right it is. Don't purchase it outright. Just buy the diagram and gather the materials to construct one. I have 4 of them. Got a few more oil bottles & Timber while in the caves. So I think, I can manage 2 more.

I have to say, Yarpin has the funniest accent and one-liners. This guy is now my second best comedian, next to Yusuf Amir.

Great to know this thread is alive, wish CD PROJECKT RED keeps releasing free content and we can return to this land over and over and over AGAIN.

The one-liners by all the dwarves are some of the best in the game. You should hear what the NPC's utter [especially the dwarven guards] when you are passing by.

Guys can i download the GOG version through torrents and then install the same through steam,i have a legit steam copy of the game and it is taking effin hours to download as i have pogo plug io could easily queue my torrents there and get it downloaded?

so any idea?

Sorry GoG edition needs to be downloaded the old-school ftp way Sire.

No the GoG.com edition is independent of STEAM, doesn't require online activation et al. To redeem this copy of the game you will need to enter the ACTIVATION KEY provided with your game.

It is a free back-up copy of the game which you have in other formats like --
  • STEAM download
  • D2D edition
  • physical copy

Hope this clarifies the situation Sire, Cheers!!

Just enrolled myself for the Enhanced Edition redeem copy on GoG.com.

Lets hope this works.

It depends Uber. GOG might not have the exact same files/folder structures that Steam's database may have. Ideally, you should at least initiate the download through Steam, so that it's able to build up the initial set of file/folders. Then you could probably copy paste the contents of the GOG version over them, run steam and allow a content integrity check to see if it syncs up. Steam does have the facility of building up the missing files, right?

STEAM and GoG copies are incompatible, please do not mix the two.

I am clutching at straws here, really annoyed. Registered myself on GoG.com as mentioned earlier, hope this edition works without any hiccups.
 
#[member='ramdante'] instead of going through the pain, you should have gone to GoG.com registered yourself to get the free back-up copy of the Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition and download the extras.

But still good on ya' mate.

I'm stumped now. Did you try removing the troll.dzip from CookedPC folder?

I have called in sick at work today. So I plan to complete the second chapter today and hopefully complete the game by tomorrow.
