AFAK it is allowed in both BCG and FLRO (if the rules haven't changed n the last month)
very very few trackers have rules against cross seeding
scenefz being one of them
Mmm...makes it a level playing field, but a lot of torrents might not be available.

Generally if i have a copy of a release, then to how many trackers at a time can I upload it via cross seeding ?
Today what happened is I tried to cross seed a file to IPT which i got from TD and already in cross seeding to TL.
When i added torrent to transmission i got an error
So is there any fixed number of locations to which we can cross seed a torrent ?
Also found out difference between outside and cross seeding

Many people use 'cross seeding' and 'outside seeding' interchangeably. They can mean the same thing.
Outside seeding is seeding a release you got from some other place here.
Cross seeding is seeding the same release to multiple sites at the same time.
Cross seeding is fine as long as the releases have different hashes. They must have their own separate entries in your torrent client.
If they have the same hash then they will try to add multiple trackers to a single entry in your torrent client. Doing that WILL get you banned.
So basically it's this. Here I have download releases at one site and while I'm still seeding there I also added it from another site and am outside seeding it there. So I am cross seeding the same release to both sites at the same time. This is FINE:
However, if you go to add a release you already have to seed it at another site and instead of it adding normally and hash checking as it's own entry, you ever get this instead (µTorrent) ...
This is NOT ok. Click 'NO'. This means the release has the same hash at both sites. You cannot cross seed a release like this at private sites. If you add multiple private trackers to the same release it will likely be seen as a ratio cheat and get you banned at both sites. This doesn't happen often as the .torrent files for same release at different sites usually will have different piece sizes and thus a different hash for the exact same content, or the NFO will have been edited slightly at one so it has a different hash so the release only checks to 99.9% at the second one (this is common).
That's why as soon as you go to add a release that you downloaded at one site to seed it to another site it's best to deselect all of the files first (click the 'select none' button in the 'add new torrent' window) before adding it OR as soon as it starts checking it's best to go to the files tab and set ALL of the files to 'skip' (don't download) so if/when it finishes checking but it didn't check to 100% for any reason at that second site it won't start trying to download anything which if so will eventually cause a hash fail on the first release. Did I confuse you yet? lol

Yes, cross seeding with IPT & TD is a PITA. They always have the same hash files and you know the rest. Increasing ur bonus is now a bane,
But cross seeding with other sites and IPT is a bliss.

2. Now after I download the complete file now i head to TL
3. Download the same ABC-release-X.torrent from TL
4. Add it to the client.
5. Client checks file and since i have the file already downloaded ( around 99.78% in most cases due to different NFOs) it starts seeding.
Yesterday I tried to do the same but in this case step 3 from IPT. It gave the error i showed.
I think what dinjo and ?doubtfire? said above is right.

You should absolutely not be doing that. That is totally cheating the PT system. I would see this as ratio circumvention method. Plus logically thinking, they can easily put in a mechanism; which checks that you should have done at least one cycle of 100% DL, before total seed is valid. Or the bonus points.

but they are officially allowing it on TL and i have seen that many moderators in IPT are suggesting this for newbies to build ratio.
