WD hasnt made the scheduled pickup, even after sending them a reminder email.

What do I do? Courier my HDDs to them or wait for a response?
 
Contact nearest AFL courier, if they handle WD (or Flextronics) then deposit the HDD at their palce, and tell them it was scheduled.

Sent the drive myself - reached WD on 13th - still the status says "We have not scheduled a delivery of your replacement product."

the last drive i shipped they sent the drive on the same day itself - dont know whats taking so long .
 
After lazying around for god knows how many months, I finally gave my 640AAKS for replacement today.

Now will wait for my replacement. Expecting a nice 1TB black.

I shipped the drive on 17th. It reached them on 18th and they've already shipped my replacement as well! That was fast as hell!

I should be getting my drive tomorrow now I suppose. Getting a WD1001FALS.

EDIT: Just remembered tomorrow is a holiday, so will get it on Tuesday.
 
Update: I received my drive today.

Damn that was fast. I'm especially surprised with AFL couriers. They delivered my drive the very next day of shipping it. I expected my drive to reach today since Sunday and Monday were holidays. Even WD immediately sent out a replacement, and here I am with my replacement in my hands already. Hell I might have even received it a day or two earlier had it not been for the holidays. Very happy with the RMA.

I might use AFL couriers to ship other stuff in future.
 
have shipped out my WD500AAKS through DTDC. Was failing extended test on 08 error. Lets see what do i get. Expecting a 1TB black

This is when their service will be put to test, i stay at a remote location which is not covered by AFL. Lets see how they handle the dispatch
 
My WD 1tb green crashed so they rma it in just 5 days, go WD,they are way better than crappy Seagate's complicated rma procedure.
 
The drive reached them on feb 13t5h itself and i called them 2-3 times they were saying no stock pls wait for 1 more week...till today they havent shipped the replacement...to add insult to injury now when i checked the status online its saying i have not shipped the drive to them yet WTF ?

even their toll free number is not working for me today

They wouldn't replace if it wasn't faulty would they? it was dying any how, it was just by examples of people getting blacks instead of greens got my hopes up

Guys DONT send ur HDD just for the sake of getting larger sizes, it depends on the availability, WD is not stupid to ship 1TB drives of 500 or 640GB

I was just saying in general, my post wasn't aimed at u, seeing u disappointed, i just posted a general comment...
