XBox 360 Controller for Windows

just got the x360 controller ,confused

Got the x360 controller for pc today and installed the drivers from the cd.Went over to play nfs most wanted but cant get used to the contols. Controls seems to be wierd. i am currently using the default settings of the game. Is there any kind of controls assigned that works best ?
The drivers that came along with the cd are ok?

What do you mean that controls is wierd? Describe wierd... One mans pleasure is another mans pain. So what may seem weird to you might be great for someone else. Having said that the Xbox controllers generally suck in shooting games (Xbox-1 did) dont know about improvements of shooting games with Xbox 360... would wait for others to answer.

Why is this thread moved in the show-off section ?

Wierd in the sense because its not as comfortable as i am with the keyboard.May be because i havent used it much

Just wanted to ask if people play it with the default buttons assigned in the games or any suitable confiugration works out better

one more thing, i just tried playing gtasa with it. Doesnt work except the direction controls. Any other way of making it work ?
 
need help about XBOX 360 controller

i have bought MSR XBOX 360 controller and hardly find ease to play GTA san andreas,
can u guys tell me which are the games played by console...

You've bought an X360 controller and can't play GTA SA?

Do you have the X360 console (the main machine thing?)

If so, you need to connect it online, you'll be forced to download an update.

Let it download and it'll update the games list for Backwards Compability for Xbox and your GTA SA Xbox version will play (considering its original and matches with X360's region).

Errm... was in a hurry, so just mistyped every thing

So the real problem is

I bought a xbox 360 controller and connected it to my PC

I tried playing gta sanandreas but i can just move with this contoller. The car controls dont work. Do i need a separate patch to paly gta sa on my pc

What all games can be played by this controller except gtr, nfs ( i mean can fps games like fear work with this)

Have you set the control mode to a gamepad in the GTA SA options menu?
Have you checked to see if the controls are assigned to the gamepad buttons?

I think your problem might be the first question that I ask. You have to manually select the gamepad as a controller instead of a M&K.

wired one varies. in the north, i heard it was ~1.7k. in south, its about 1.3k :D
