guys i really feel sorry for you.. as u are being passed on with worng information or a wrong product..

As far as i am concerned i am a Authorised dealer for Xbox 360 games consoles and accessories in B'lore..

we have a Xbox 360 game lounge too on church street called consoul in java city opp empire hotel..

Redington is not located on SP road.. they are not retailers..
Redington India ltd are official and only distributors for XBOX 360 and mircosoft products in India..
Their b'lore office is on sarjapur road..

So, Supra Saar.. where are u located saar???
i have already posted a link for the official XBOX 360 price list in India in this forum.. so u can go though it for reference in future..

also all games and accessories sold in India have a 3 month warranty..
only the Xbox360 consoles comes with a 1 + 2 year warranty..
therefore kindly be aware .. certains dealers may not pass on the right information in order to make a sale..

the prices of games too keep changing from time to time..
it would be better if u keep urself in loop with the price list so that u don't fall prey to wrong prices quoted by dealers.

You are not the only ones who've mentioned abt controllers being available at Rs 2000/-
i have heard it from a few others..

there have been news that such controller could be fake..
and on using them with ur 360, u could receive a ban from MS.

somebody had bought a extra cooling fan for his 360...
Ms detected an unknown device attached into the 360 and banned that console..

also such controllers that are priced way below MRP cannot be issue with bill and hence no warranty is available on them..

how can they detect a fan attached to it? Also, if that is the case then all the 3rd prty manufacturers would be outta business na?

Perhaps thu wi-fi.. I guess tats d only way to..

Jus wondering how MS keeps track of devices being attached to the X360..

The official accessories licensed to be used with the X360 may be permitted though..

well there are articles posted all over the net.

the intercooler fans are powered directly with the main power cable as the fan are external and mounted on the rear potion of the 360.. and a potion of which goes into the power cable socket.

therefore maybe the 360 detects another device instaed of the actual power cable which is inserted in the 360.

if i see the article again i'd post the pictures too..

normal case = Xbox --power cable
here= Xbox--fan--power cable
the power cable goes into the fan and the fan has a look alike out which further goes into the xbox
 
X360 Controller for PC

Hi Guys,

I have a little query to make. I went to Palika the other day to purchase a x360 controller for windows. I was getting a boxed packed controller for 900 bucks. There was something written on the box in chinese. I was skeptical about the price and thought that it might be a fake, so I decided to postpone my purchase.

Did I do the right thing or was the controller original? How can I make out?

I got mine for 1200 bucks more than 6 months back, so the price does not seem suspicious. It may be possible that the unit in question was imported from China.

^Yes, that was the exact same box but everything was written in chinese. So shall I buy it from palika then? Is there no chance of it being a fake one? Because they were selling loose x360 controllers for as low as 600 bucks. Besides, if you don't know, Palika Bazaar is the pirate hub of New Delhi. One has to be extra cautious in order to not get cheated.

there is that standard microsoft hologram at the back of the remote :P buy it n check :P donno if that helps tho
