I would like to try Call of Duty Modern warfare 2019 as a last try but hesitant due to aforesaid reason.
A lot of the futuristic CODs and mediocre ones like WW2 and Ghosts just didn't do it for me.
MW 2019 was the first COD I played since Black Ops 1 and I had an absolute blast. Yes, the game has issues but the animations, sounds, singleplayer and MP are just top notch and Warzone seasons 1 & 2 were just the icing on the cake, it was the most fun I had with friends online in ages.
That being said, it's now a bit late to get into the MP as well as Warzone since it's filled with either sweaty tryhards or cheaters who play it 24/7 plus it doesn't make sense to buy the game at its current price.
Just put on your pirate hat and play the SP, personally i'm looking forward to MW2 2022 which is 99% confirmed.
P.S. I played the Vanguard open beta over the weekend and it's absolute dog shit, even the sub standard Black Ops : Cold War shines in comparison.
Some say its a feature of depression,
It could be that, it also could be that games just aren't made with that special ingredient anymore, the publishers are just out to extract as much money from the player which makes the games grindy and seem like a waste of time.
It's more difficult to find games like TW3, Nier:Automata, Talos Priciple etc nowadays
