am just asking its an open source :/ . I dont know everything so is it wrong to ask? :S . Anyway got the answer from IRC . It can be partially ported to 2.2 but its not worth the effort you need to put in .

No hard feelings mate. It just came across as absurd.

Froyo based Cyanogen Mod was CM6 which was not available for the Blade. Also, I'm not sure anybody would want to 'downgrade' from GB to Froyo considering GB has only improvements and no drawbacks, when compared to Froyo.

@xtremevicky I thought you were gonna try 7.1. I'm feeling to lazy to download and flash that now. just flashed like 3 diff nightlies in the last week. Anyone upgrading to 7.1 please try and see if the blade detects the difference between standard earphones and a headset with mic (probably wont), and add a feature enhancement request on the official tracker, since it's now stable.

Yea man . I have downloaded it but I been down with work for few days . Not having the time .

Might flash it on Friday and what I have read at Modaco its better to do a complete wipe .

Thanks for the links, Julian. The Xperia Arc theme is pretty neat and is my current theme.

It's good but for me the menus etc. scroll pretty slow, probably due to the transparency and backgrounds for menus. The Gingerblur-trans theme has a transparent status bar but a solid black settings menu and scrolls nice and smooth. the main thing i like about the arc theme is the trans music widget. i know i can get the same effect with poweramp but i don't wanna install an app just to do what the stock player already does.

Chill dude, there was no offense intended. Didn't quite understand what you were saying till pageisgod85 mentioned cm6, then it made sense.

Yeah, a complete wipe would eliminate all doubt of possible cause in case of bugs.

I had an issue with dspmanager crashing when viber connects on a call. This was after flashing one of the newer nightlies, only wiped dalvik. 'Chris Banks' over at modaco suggested clearing dspmanager's data in manage apps and that fixed it. so problems and solutions are wide and varied.

I haven't faced any lag with menu and scrolling yet. However, for some weird reason, since I installed the theme, few games have started lagging. It might be due to something else, but I'm going to check out the Gingerblur-trans theme as well.

In the ROM Manager, while pressing the "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" button, which device needs to be chosen ?

It does not show DELL XCD 35 in the list

Should i be selecting "ZTE BLADE" ??

^^ Thanks

Could someone guide me to the link of the most stable CM7 ROM at present ?

Should i opt for CM7.0.3 ?

Can't find a reliable source to get the ROM setup ..

EDIT : Got the setup files (Credit goes to Xtremvicky)

The next and final problem:

Which one is the best in terms of stability and battery backup ?

1) 7.0.0

2) 7.0.1

3) 7.0.2

4) 7.0.3

5) 7.1.0

6) Any stable Nightly build ?

got my XCD 35 yesterday.

I have couple of questions. :)

1.Is there a official Gingerbread update for XCD 35 from Dell ?

2. The back cover/battery gets heated when i put it on charge use the phone simultaneously, is it normal for XCD 35 ? :S

I am not sure how the latest builds are working for you guys. I can't move past the stable build (2.3.4). Everytime I try the latest nightly builds (have tried 209,210,220), I end up with the phone getting just a blank screen after I finish the call. I have to either wait for the phone to restart or just pop out the battery and restart. This is terribly inconvenient.

^ Did you try a full wipe? Many people use the nightlies that you mentioned and I haven't heard of this problem ever. If anything, the latest nightlies are far more 'stable' than than the old 7.0.3 stable version.

Yes man. Everytime I do install a new CFW, I do like this: 1) Factory Reset 2) Clear Cache 3) Clear Dalvik Cache

I even tried turning off the rotation sensor, fiddles with the ambient light sensor settings but all in vain. The newer builds are a lot faster but somehow they never get along well with me.

Also how much overclock can you guys do ? I've seen that the max for my device is 691 and lowest is 245. Beyond this, I see frequent freezes.

Overclock varies from device to device. Mine works stable at 729. Beyond this, it freezes. And regarding the blank screen, you will need to calibrate the proximity sensor. You will find the option under ZTE Blade Settings. Click on the "Calibrate proximity sensor" option, and do nothing else (no need to put the device close to your face or put a finger near the sensor). It will calibrate. After that you will not face any blank screen issue.

I seem to ask this question with every ROM. Does CM 7.1 have a notification pull-down power widget. And is Modaco still the best source to get CM 7 for the blade?
