@memnon - Many who ordered before you are also waiting for the refund. I think only Gaurish got the refund. Did you get any refund related mail from Google Checkout?

@cravikum - mgdelhi ordered from Play.com using an Indian CC, not shipped yet.

@archat68 - Contacted them on eBay and they said phones will be delivered only in Jan even if ordered now.

stop wasting Forex charges by trying over these sites.. buy over ebay by paying 5-10 pounds extra without worrying whether you will get it or not.

I just need to get the phone delivered to a UK address by Jan 3rd. Prepaymania says their offices are closed till Jan 4th. I dont want to spend more than like 120 pounds on it. And ebay is coming to like 130. What to do?

Ask your friend it order it from Orange through their telesales? You may get a discount too if he is an existing customer. :p

Yep i've asked him to get it from an Orange store and he said he can do it. But the thing abt Prepaymania was i could pay with my CC, now i'll have to pay him back in pounds, or have money transferrred to him or something. Just a little extra headache. If prepaymania was open could have avoided it :(

@varkey, i did not use google checkout mate i used the credid/debit card option in their site. Now what do i do? my only problem is i dont have a Transaction id/order id from them how am i to prove that my money got debited.

Or he can pick it from local Argos store. You can check stocks at local argos stores and block the piece.

If they don't refund you can always have a option for chargeback but I don't think that would be needed. prepaymania is not fraud business, so they surely will refund.

Btw, how come you didn't get any emails? I did get email confirming order with order number give in it. try checking your spam/junk folder?

thats the problem mate, both the time my card got rejected but the amount was debited and i havent got any mail/communcation from their side.

Thats what yanking my crank how am i to prove to them? perhaps my card number will help?

And could u tell me what is chargeback? and in case of SBI how to proceed with that?

Then Open a support ticket with following information

1) Date & Time

2) Product Ordered and Amount charged

3) CC Number, generally last four digits are enough

they should be able to trace the transaction in their system.

Btw, what did the charge appear as?

Already did that mate. And they gave me a ticket id: 32195, but the reply link they gave me stopped working after an hour

"charge·back: A demand by a credit-card provider for a retailer to make good the loss on a fraudulent or disputed transaction"

so call your bank and say these two transactions are fraud, they took they money but never delivered goods.Also tell them that you made efforts to contact the merchant but they didn't bother to respond. then your bank will raise a dispute with Visa/mastercard(whoever has issued the card), which will then take up the issue with prepaymania.

@memnom chargeback is the only option i had similar issue when i was booking an airticket ticket online and i got transaction failed so went ahead and booked the ticket again later saw that my account debitted twice tookup the matter with the bank and got the chargeback as only one ticket was issued. i had to followup with the bank for a week to get the refund. SBI ppl take their time so donot giveup.

btw i am also waiting for my prepaymania refund as they refused to ship to the aramex address.

@varkey tried to buy it on play.com using my citibank credit card using aramex address instead of my billing address but transaction failed.

So till now mgdelhi is the only one who ordered succesfully from play.com and reached the 'Packing' stage. :p
