Saw it yesterday and Mr Smith was about 2 months back. I just made a post with decent list of the last 3 month's viewing of mine.

Jimmy Stewart is indeed the actor i would bank on. Rear window, Vertigo, Bell brook and candle.. and the 2 mentioned already.. Super stuff.

Citizen kane and Chinatown deserves a spl mention too. Pretty much the stuff which got me hooked to classics and noir category. Cant rate them tbh.

Maltese falcon would have been either 7.4 or a 7.8.. I think it just allowed few opportunities go wasted where it could have really taken off and introduced a good dose of thriller. Hence i felt disappointed. It's a wonderful life is a wonderful movie and one of those which i didnt wanted to include.. watch it during Christmas and its rating will require a new standard. Just kept it low by keeping the 'Christmasy' feeling aside (which basically is stupid tbh.) Its def is an 8+ material if u include the magical aura.

Forgot to rate this:

A Touch of evil - 8/10

If you are into classics then try

M

8 1/2

Persona

Wild Strawberries

Sunset Boulevard

On the water front

and if you want to see where 'The Marlon Brando' was pawned by fellow actor then "A streetcar named desire"

Pretty much the stuff which got me hooked to classics and noir category. Cant rate them tbh.

Any morale boosting/motivating movie guys? or a documentary or something? Kind of demoralized these days.

Also forgot to mention from your previous post abt Citizen Kane and Chinatown,

Citizen Kane was my all time fav and became his huge fan but his 'Touch of Evil' was a 8,a let down. Also so far i have seen only 3 movies of Orson Welles which is "The Third Man" apart from the two mentioned also classic movie fans mostly seen these movies if you have seen any other movies of Orson Welles, mention .

Polanski and Jack made a masterpiece in Chinatown

and if you wanna be moved by the story and acting this should be your next movie'Umberto D'

Do watch Umberto D,made me cry and the movie surely had its moments.

Ofc.. The Third Man is in the queue as well.

Regarding Orson, saw a bit of Lady from Shanghai.. but had to abandon due to guest attack. Supposed to be a good movie as well.

Silence of the Lambs - 8.5/10. Amazing.

Hugo - 8/10. The visuals of the movie, the brown sepia tone and the 3D effect is just awesome.

Kahaani - 7.5/10. Best Indian thriller till date? I think so.

The Avengers

First half was boring. Second half made up for it.

8/10
