All I want to know is that does anything beat g2@32.3k?
Why do you want to upgrade in the first place ?
Must sell droid dna before it becomes worthless so need something new & better ?

Beat in terms of what ? just price is narrow. What are these new devices offering that you you want and cannot do with your existing one.

rdst_1 ,buys latest flagships, sells them then goes back for 90% of his needs to his tried & trusted 2 yr old galaxy nexus :D

I think you should consider next gen nexus 4. But you don't want to wait.

Also s4 mini for 20.5k approx today..
Crippled model. Give a smaller form factor and don't skimp on specs. Then it would be better. The name s4 does not belong to this model. it should be called something else.

i purchased from rdst only :3

Warranty , peace of mind is what the G2 is offering :P

Future proof for 1-1.5 years...

Yup. except 3GB (2.4gb extact on n3) ram on note 3, LG G2 has got everything! and 60% of ram is always free, even on my nexus 4. Think LG G2 has got everything mate.

I'm stuck b/w n5 and G2 but G2 haven't even got 4.3 update, wonder when they will shift to kitkat. So N5 for now. :( But G2 is beautiful.

you're paying a premium for it. You get better screen & camera. Is it worth the difference compared to latest gen n4.

You had n4 so you know what that's about, droid dna is another dev friendly phone. G2 is open but its more consumer friendly than dev friendly. Updates from LG take forever. Expect G2 update shortly before G3 is launched. Otherwise LG make very good phones.

G2 is a fantastic phone, but I'm expecting it to get some love from the community.. Not expecting lg updates..

I know the next nexus will be good, but then I don't expect it to launch in india anytime soon..

And i don't want to purchase from abroad knowing I can't pay and service it in india.. I had to wait from march to June/July to get my n4 repaired in india, used a canvas hd temporarily..

I still think the DNA is a great device especially for the price. It also got the Sense 5 update. Still I see people paying 10k more for US warranty HTC One.
The G2 is definitely an upgrade but it won't feel that in the hand because phones these days are hardly an upgrade.
I am so bored of Android now that I think my next device will be a Nokia 1020 once prices drop a bit in the US. I will still keep my Galaxy Nexus but I am now willing to give other platforms a try. Frankly, I really wish someone would build a phone for the Palm OS. I just loved the Pre 3 I had.

Hasent got the update yet, waiting for it..

Though I use cm.10.2

What makes you say that ?

optimus g had a stable CM around 6 months after launch plus an extra rom. That was it. Why will the G2 be different.

Ah, so a 9 month potential wait if any servicing is required.

You used the term investment earlier. Investment means something that appreciates in value as opposed to depreciates. So i was figuring, latest nex 4, play with it then sell for a profit. Since the demand is there until it launches in india, the lack of a local warranty affecting price seems low. And you have to get rid of it then because after the lack of warranty might be a detriment when competing with local units.

This looks like it would be a good marriage. Lenovo already has a footprint across asia, they took over IBM's laptop business, its not so hard to to imagine them doing the same with the mobile segment.
Yes, I also think Lenovo can flourish HTC, Lenovo knows how to handle business, and I hope then HTC will come with bootloader unlocked (No S-Off Stuff) and not with cr*ppy 4UP cams

heh, people beat up on htc because of 4MP. Tell me what device will display 4MP today ?

Full HD is only 2MP, retina will do 3MP. You need 2160p or 4k screen to see 8MP.

No 4k screen you will not be able to tell the difference beyond 3MP. I saw a comment the other day and this guy ws complaining he could tell the difference between 20mp & 8 mp photo. No surprises there. Even the 1020 oversamples 38mp down to 5MP. You must wait 4 seconds for it to complete the work before you can shoot another photo.

Pixel peeping is not going to work with 4MP, who views their photos like that anyway :)

I'm returning the phone for a full refund. Got a bloody defective unit.
Yes, but let's wait for him to confirm it. I have a doubt he wants to own a Z1 again.

In 24 hours he went from loving it to the opposite going by what he said elsewhere.

He has been pining for Z1 for a few months now, so it was a surprise to see such a quick reversal.
I'd hate to be his heart throb

@blr_p, it's not that 4UP is wrong or right, but the quality of pictures is not so satisfactory (as complained by some of the HTC one users) I'm not a tech guy for the cams so don't know much about it but they said in low lights the pics were good/ok but in bright light :( and who wants to wait for 4 secs after taking a single shot. Camera Lag is of past even on my Note2.
