Options to get stuff shipped from China...Lets discuss

You can import stuff from China provided you use services which basically forward the stuff from China to some other country & from there ship to India to bypass China specific restrictions. Obviously this will add to cost & time taken for delivery.

yes use aramex shop and ship its good
First order was through Aramex and I was charged a small custom fee (about 10% of order value + additional 'service' fee from Aramex to clear the package from customs). I got pissed with the additional service fee charged by Aramex. Hence, for the second order I selected YenWen Express and it got delivered in about 2 weeks with no custom duty! Aramex was quicker but more expensive + additional custom duty had to be paid. I am happy with Yenwen and I have placed another order recently which is in processing.
yes with every private courier you have to pay that custom clearance charges, with fedex and dhl its 800+gst.
yanwen is too good sadly most sellers avoid using it on alibaba, yanwen uses bluedart to deliver to end user I guess, right??

anybody has tried USPS from usa to india ? I am seeing this option in planet express
are they trackable at every point ? and do they use indian post to deliver in india?

I have not used on Planet Express. But, it is mostly trackable. Yes, they do use India Post to deliver. USPS is the United States Postal Service (same as India Post for them).

i have two different Yanwen parcels coming to India. Hope it would be a smooth process and not get in hand of Indiapost. customs with indiapost is a big headache.

Thanks to this thread. Ordered a Oculink eGPU board from eBay to replace my existing DIY oculink-board-screwed-to-a-book setup for $91 on Aug 20 and received today. No customs or any other charges. Shipping: Singapore Post => Morning global => DTDC (but there is also a ushopvship sticker on the package). There is also a customs declaration sticker saying package value is 10$ which is strange. It came via Delhi as per tracking info.

Why some of the package attracts custom taxes while some not. So the Yanwen express seems to get no custom duty or any charges with import but courier like HKUPS attracts charges + custom clearance fee even on $10 value.

is there any duty free limit? I have paid around 100% on my mini pc import if i combine the shipping fee which is usually higher compare to other country. $80-$100 taxes on $150 product.

i really hate paying 50% tax on total value. the 50% also on shipping fee which is just crazy. The business attracts only 10%.

i don't want to import but the same goods are available in India with 3x-10x price and most of them are from China.

We are still a slave to this country forced to pay taxes multiple times. Every time i try to improve, learn and enjoy life, this system make it worst to live in. There is not even a single thing going the way as it should in this country.

It is because of slackers on tax dept side & misusers among public. Because some in public wants to do business with cheap Chinese imports worth lakhs & crores without paying a single rupee in tax they get fake ultra cheap invoices made while those in customs dept don't really want to go through all the hassle of honestly doing their work so whenever time is there to meet the targets they just slap a $50 duty on a genuine $10 import from China.

Shipoutfromusa has promos running for prime days, 999 incl gst/kg + custom duty ranging from 900-1300. According to their support, valid for orders placed during prime days.

Recently, I had at least a dozen items shipped to my relative who is overseas and really miss ordering multitude of cheap items on a whim. Also, shipping on Aliexpress has improved significantly as they now ship most items from their warehouse and deliver to most Asian countries in 7-10 days.

It is ridiculous seeing $25 items being sold for nearly 5-6k on Amazon by resellers. The only thing the ban has done is assist importers and middlemen to exploit the masses, when these items or their alternatives are not produced locally and never will without the requisite prototyping and manufacturing abilities.

Same for stuff ordered on ebay from china to my apartment in BLR, yanwen/4px delivers to india in ~10 days.

Ebay won't ship everything tho, wanted to buy a new DSP pocket radio, for some reason ebay was blocking the checkout, and for the radio that's available on AliExpress for $70, had to pay $85 on amazon com to deliver to SOFU USA warehouse, and will have to pay ~₹2k more to get it here :hungover:.
