Review Amazon India - Feedback Thread

Lets see today. Have ordered a small set for nephew. Last time from Amazon it was delivered in original box only and amazon has been like this for quite sometime i guess flipkart has also started doing same cause i ordered a multimeter recently nd it was delivered in original packaging, but let's see today how it goes.
Meters have arrived fine. The one time it came with no box whatsoever was when I ordered a heatgun from seller Cloudtail some years back

The only time it happened and I was not impressed

Hey guys, I need a little help. I did something very stupid, so that ad on Amazon for Zotac 4070 TI super that I saw posted, I went to the product page. I saw that the product was prime fulfilled, so I thought let me just try getting this, it's anyways, prime fulfilled. What is the worst that could happen? Amazon has been quite good in terms of refunds.

However, as soon as I ordered the next day, the seller deleted the listing itself. Consequently, you can’t find the product listing on Amazon anymore. Additionally, the seller shipped the product using a third-party courier and not Amazon, as was mentioned in the product listing. Now, unfortunately, I can’t even cancel the product anymore. Since it has already been shipped, what should I do? I am very scared now.

Given the fact that the seller has canceled the listing, I think this was a scam all along. I fell for it and I’m going to get some random brick in the parcel instead of the graphics card. Any suggestions on what I should do? I was thinking I’ll just refuse to accept the parcel and get my refund. Will that work?

Dont worry just make a video while unboxing showing the seals.
I mean the seller deleted the listing, sent thru 3rd party courier.
Even amazon will know whats happening here.

Alternatively just dont take the delivery

Make video while denying the delivery. If there is a CCTV camera recording of you not taking it that's also good. That's all you can do I guess. While handling the package if you can weight it you will know its a scam.
How much did you bought it for and who is the seller?

I am thinking of not even taking the risk to open the product, what if the seller claims that he sent the right product and i would have to dispute it? Just safer to refuse.

Yeah to be honest I am like 10% curious to know what the seller sent actually but yeah everything about the seller deleting the product listing seems like a scam to me.

I got it for 54k, the seller was some seller called world of graphics

Honestly the only reason I bought it is because I saw it had a prime logoand I am a prime member and 7 days returnable, otherwise I would not have touched it at all. Can products have prime logo if they are still fulfilled by the seller instead of Amazon?

@i_rock098 just dont take the delivery.
Best option
Got it, there is no way I can be scammed by the seller if I don't take the delivery right? Like he can't dispute anything?

The courier company is xpressbees which as far as my experience goes always uses OTP for delivery so no way can I be scammed unless I share the OTP to them hopefully?

It is not like there is a law that mandates otp for any courier delivery, shadowfax doesn't ask for otp for delivery in typical cases (for non-typical cases see my thread https://techenclave.com/threads/psa...ry-msg-on-product-page-before-payment.222405/ ) so how can you be sure that xpressbees will definitely ask for otp in your case. Just contact amazon customer care & ask them to cancel the order mentioning your reason as suspected fraud seller.

I know exactly who you are talking about, Its this seller
Reviews don't really look good.
Just contact amazon customer care & ask them to cancel the order mentioning your reason as suspected fraud seller.
Most definitely better choice but my advice was for when they do eventually get the package as it is in transit.

I already contacted amazon, they told me that they can't cancel from their end since it has already been shipped. They said they will drop a message to the seller to cancel it (which they did)

The seller replied that he has already shipped the product and i can refuse the product and get a instant refund.

Yeah that's the seller, like I said the only reason I decided to order was the prime assurance with the prime logo on the product page. Turns out it was not prime afterall.

How many red flags do you need bro?

If you want to save money, just go the used route and get a used 3090/ti. Don't buy from random 3rd party sellers

like I said the only reason I decided to order was the prime assurance with the prime logo on the product page.
For future reference, prime logo doesn't mean a thing nowadays because many poor rated sellers (not frauds) too can easily get that prime tag so always check seller ratings & its reviews on any product.

Bait and switch! This is absolutely terrible, even for Amazon. Take a look at the product photos and then the most recent reviews. It's so upsetting that I couldn't bring myself to take photos of the garbage I received.

Some years ago, I bought one of these. The original (imported) version that looks like the product photos. Very nice paint, smooth and even, heavy guage metal all around, no dents or rust anywhere, quality 4-inch wheels.

Guess what's changed? EVERYTHING.

It now looks like it's been welded, painted and packaged on a dirt road in a country that's far worse off than our own. It's as if it was manufactured by a company that penny-pinches to the extent that it mandates that a Rs 10 chai must be shared by at least three employees.

Dented, rusted, dust specs under the paint, no paint on the underside, and plastic wheels that look like they fell off a toy that came free with a Rs 99 burger. Absolute garbage, it's shocking.

The manual! I have never seen such a low quality photocopy, not on this side of the dot com bubble anyway. Paper thinner than a face towel, ink so faint you'd think it was a watermark.

What's absolutely hilarious is that there is one part of the manual that has ink dark enough to see things clearly. Can you guess what it is?

"Made in India"

No doubt that the contract of manufacturing this product was given to a relative of a suit who then proceeded to mint their own fortune by cutting every cost they could, and then proceed to cut even more until what they have resembles something that might hold a bag of murmure if someone makes sure to turn off the ceiling fan first.

Whoever that suit is, and whatever is the sham entity that manufactured this, I hope they learn about indoor toilets someday and perhaps strive for a higher quality of life. For the sake of this country, anyway.

This product is worth less than the sum of its parts. It makes me feeel like we're half a century behind everyone else.

I waited years to be able to afford another one of these and the product is completely ruined. I knew I should've gotten two at the start, but mutter paneer tastes so good.

Now I have to find a grandmother and have them curse whoever is responsible for this for the rest of their natural life.

Didn't think they'd approve my review but hey, maybe they don't care anymore

That last line "Now I have to find a grandmother and have them curse whoever is responsible for this for the rest of their natural life." LOL
What can I say, Its amazon basics. First they look for good selling products, then they steal the design and make a similar one only to undercut that said product, now everyone is buying their "basics" branded counterfeit product so competition loses, then they can increase the price according to their needs.
I stay away from their products solely for this reason alone. Boycott that crap even if it doesn't work.

Older Amazon Basics were pretty good quality, this is from that era (before Covid).

Anyway they published my review after they offered a replacement, which I intended on returning for a refund (need to accept at least one replacement before refund becomes an option).

What showed up was the Made in China model! I never thought I'd be so happy to see a Made in China product over our own Made in India. I blame the entire state of Gujarat, for no particular reason.

So now I ended up with exactly I wanted and it's become part of my setup where I pretend to be a YouTuber despite having no following.

It looks like they're shipping off these terrible Made in India versions on customers who don't know or don't expect better and only replace them with the higher quality imported version only when a customer initiates a complaint.

And the quality is so good, it's like night and day between this and the Made in India version. Literally nothing else that I own that's made out of metal has a better surface finish or tolerances. Except maybe that server rack I built.

This is how I received my lego set from amazon. Worst condition box. Definitely a customer return and box is so battered.
Sealed using tape from all sides.
Had to initiate replacement. Also no outer box, directly put my address on main box.View attachment 209756View attachment 209757
So the replacement arrived today.

Supermarkets have been doing this for decades prior. It's called the store brand for the budget conscious. Not always as good as the market leaders except in some rare instances. You get what you pay for applies most of the time.

One common exception I see people touting is IKEA's NiMH rechargeable batteries over say Eneloops. Aldi also has something similar IIANM.
So the replacement arrived today.

Ordered Liquid freezer 360 aio , received Freezer 36.

I guess it was an honest mistake of missing a "0" from 360.
Luckily the package had no outer Amazon packing and i rejected the delivery.
I asked the courier guy and the HSN or the other numbers matched

Lucky indeed, the 3060 zotac card deal mentioned product will be shipped in "original brand packaging" but it still arrived within a simple brown envelope so not possible to check before giving the otp to receive the package.
