Gods.... oops Mods... unban him yaar..... this is actually getting outta hand......

if he was spamming it was in the general section so I dont think his opinion counts etc.....
 
I am sorry to say this but this way, TE is slowly going the TA way...eh..remember TA?? The very reason for the fallout and the making of TE was this very autocracy of a few on TA...dont let this fallout cause the making of another TA...i hope u ppl understand...this is just a genuine advise...dont take it otherwise..i am just voicing the concerns of those who want to be given a chance..a chance to correct themselves...cmon..to err is human..to forgive..is mod..:P I seriously think bluffy and techboi shud be given a chance..rest is upto u..think over it with a cold head..thr need not be any ego clashes here...:hap5:

The Ban on my Orignal ID is for 1 month .... it'll be lifted on 6th May 2007 , Although i do think that was kinda harsh action taken for my spamming dat too in the general section but watever i have made my peace with it.

But then banning my alternate ID .... now this was seriously not needed. They could have banned this ID after the Ban on my Orignal ID was Lifted ..... I seriously Failed to understand the logic behind this :S. As i said i wasn't spamming , flaming or trolling. Moreover wat abt the people who browse TE using my ID ?? Although they dont post anything but they sure do browse from my PC.

The basic idea behind not banning IP's as given by the Champ was that other people may try to access TE from the same Comp,banning IP will prevent them from doing so. But if the Mods decide to Ban every alternate ID that i create it negates the whole idea !!

Now i dont know how TE functions , but this is certainly not the way how we at FE Roll !!

I think the MODs want other ppl to browse TE but they do not want the same person who is banned to post again... So when they find its the same guy they ban the ID...
I donno the whole situation here but it was jus my thoughts based on the posts... so plz dont flame me :ashamed: :ashamed:
 
^^Well bluffy, i think every one has the right to correct himself..i dont see why a person who has wronged in the past shud not be given a chance to improve..banning is a very crude solution to this problem..afterall how do mods get to know if ppl open up new ids and dont tell anyone about it...it was infact a very honest thing on ur part to let everyone know tht u are who u are and u have made a new ID..many ppl who are banned make up new IDs and dont even tell...so who's gonna spy on them?

Atleast bluffy shud be forgiven for whatever he did b4 simply because he has been honest..and tht in itself is praiseworthy...and since he has been tony montana, i havent seen him spam or do anything tht wud offend any1..he has been like any other good member here.. i think banning his new id is uncalled for since he hasnt done anything tht violates the forum rules...:no:
 
^ Eggjaktly .... but the point is why the hell do they need to Ban ?? I wasn't Creating any trouble , was i ? Moreover how do they know i am the same guy ? I maybe someone else posting from Bluffmaster's PC , It is possible .... rite ?

P.S : Mods ... plz re open the thread i made in d feedback corner and move these posts there ! So much for rules !!
 
I agree that bluffy has not done anythign wrong IMO. However when someone is banned, its for the reason that they dont like those persons to post or identified with those ids. When ppl make new ids and dont tell the world, they dont take credits (or discredits) of their ids. But when they tell, its coz they want to be identified as older banned id (for taking credits of work done in old id or for any other reason, atleast if others knows its bluffy they will be more generous to rep new id ... isnt?) So bottomline is u can make new id, u can post as well... but if u r identified , u r gone.

Coming from a super Moderator .... this Post really amazed me ! They banned him giving absolutely no justification. About the thread .... well atleast it was better then the gudnite thread ..lol !
 
yeah, i mean this banning spree is getting a little out of hand. It is like sentencing a person againg and again for the same crime throughout his lifetime
 
err... Guyz.. even after banning the IP will that be of any use ??.. i mean.. here in india most of us are on Dynamic Ip's how how will the banning of IP work... or is it some Kind of MAC address ban... hUH... m confused

Well but this is a pathetic Logic. Its real shame if TE has such Ideology. Who the hell need Reps ? Infact why will Reps even matter ?? As it is i was not gonna use the alternate id after the ban on my orignal was lifted .... then why all this Fuss ? As Ryan said ... i was just being honest .... the only reason y i revealed my identity was to let others know that i am an old member aware of rules n stuff. Whats the big Deal ?? They won't let me post if i reveal my identity but they wont mind me posting as long as my identity is kept a secret ..... wat logic is that ? :S

Hmm, i concur here that the logic seems flawed as the point of banning is removing the person/id who is flaming/spamming to prevent his offence spree.. In such a case, usually the ip is banned to prevent the user from creating alternate ids to again spam.

But to ban an id/member who has commited no offence with respect to that id just because he says he is a former member who got banned in the past is real harsh..

Besides, does this mean anybody who claims to be buffy or techboi gonna get banned???

Arre yaar ..... you dont even know the reason behind Banning me in the first place .... its not like i am a Techboi or something .... i am not a troller ..... i do post sensibly , actually i was a little high that day , so thought of having some fun .... all i did was make a few spam posts in the Last movie seen thread which i knew wud take mods not more then 10 sec to delete. Once deleted I was not gonna repeat that again. And yes i was expecting a Ban ..... but to Ban me for 1 Month was wayyy Harsh ..... But i didn't complain since i was at Fault. I moved on , made a new ID and thought of continuing with it till i get back my orignal ID ..... but then after 20 Days i try to Login and it says .... Permanently Banned :|

No big deal. But banning the new id based on the fact that he was banned before and that this is after the person admits he was a previous banned member ??

To get your own id which was used to misuse? Ofcourse.

But other new ids which had no problems in their posting history??? No..

Making a new identity is a Big Deal , atleast for me. It takes alot of time and hardwork to Gain respect of few members. Why would i then wanna make a new identity ? It took me more then a Year to Gain respect and Love of fellow TE members , why would i want to risk that ? I am wat i am !

Com'on now you r talkin as if we r Kids or as if i have done some murder or something ..... Last time i checked this was still a public forum , a forum which is like a Home to me. And its not that TE needs me , i m d only one gaining from it. What do u want ?? Should i not log in to TE till my stupid Ban is lifted ??

Yes getting back my old ID is highly appreciated but then its not like they are doing some huge favour or something. I being a part of this community have contributed in watever little way i can , yes i have gained alot from TE but i am sure even i have helped it in some little way or another. why r we treating TE as just some Random Big Forum ? TE is like our Home .... its members are our Family. Everything in a Family is forgiven and forgotten.

And once again i would like to mention the Logic behind not banning the IP's. How do they know that i am the same person who got banned ? I may as well be sitting in a cyber cafe and i may not be bluffmaster. So banning the alternate id negated the whole idea behind not banning IP's , isn't it ?

Exactly the point i was trying to convey. Ppl want to be identified with their old id for reason that they want to take credits of their work. May be staff dont like it when u r serving the ban and so they ban all ids that are identified. If u dont take credit they have no problems letting u post.
 
^But that logic sucks mate .... I am a Good member .... One nite i fcukup .... the next day i am back to normal .... so where is the problem ? Infact i shouldn't even have got banned in the first place. Banning an ID is an extreme step which should be taken only when the person is doing nothing but spamming countinously for days !
