^^Totally agree with u bro..what if anyone makes a new id and claims he is techboi or bluffy? He cud just be doing it for fun...does this claim make up for the proof to ban the ID?? I dont really understand this criteria..i may not be knowing bluffy personally..we have never met..but i know him by his posts..ID hardly matters to me..just the fact tht i have known this guy matters...but what if he didnt confess tht he is, who he is..how wud i know then tht this new ID belongs to bluffy..?? So u see an id is just a way of identifying a person we know..atleast i dont think anyone wud reveal who he is to gain any reputation or something...its just so tht ppl who know u for long time will recognize u... but using this criteria to ban the ID is ridiculous...:no:

Got to agree there, bluffy. Banning ur main id was extreme in the first place. Btw u spammed in general section right? It does not increase the post count anyhow.
 
@ Ryan : Well the mods r gonna Check the IP address in that case ... But yea its still possible .... maybe bluffmaster browses from a cyber cafe and maybe someone from cyber cafe is claming to be d Bluffmaster. But watever thats not the point. I was not troubling anyone and i got banned for no apparent reason. Y so ?

Yea it waz in d last movie seen thread .... infact i was posting PJ's :P ....Ryan was there wen i got banned , u can ask him the details. I am not pissed off that i got banned. 1 Month is a very Long time even techboi must have not got banned for sucha long period but again i did not complain ..... But banning my alternate for no apparent reason. Now that sucks and i am bloody pissed off :|

BTW this reminds me of my first Ban .... I was fairly new and i got banned for calling Blade_runner an idiot. Its still out there in some Gaming thread u can check it out if u want. I mean wat the hell .... getting banned for saying Idiot ? :P
 
I wish we cud use the Right to information Act here on TE...:P tht way we cud have asked the mods for the reason to ban bluffy's and anonymous(tech-boi's??) current IDs...:P Or send them a 'Kaaran bataao notice'...:P

On a serious note,in bluffy's case, he has confessed so they probably know whose ID is tony montana..but how does any1 prove tht anonymoususe is Tech-boi's ID ?? He hasnt confessed..we only suspect it is techboi..but is tht suspicion enuf to ban an ID..??i mean what if he genuinely isnt techboi, but a new member??

Imagine what will be his view about TE when his friends, who too cud be potential members in future ask him about it?That he got banned by this site for posting a few casual threads?? The mods cud brush it off by saying tht they wud not care if they lose a few members this way..think about all those disgruntled members who give out a very bad impression about TE to other wud be members..now if u say tht u are indifferent and dont care if u get more members or not..then i have nothing more to say...:no:

I'm sure a lot of mods are reading all this...well, guys, if u forgive someone, tht way it wont make u look small or something..infact tht way, u will gain a lot of public (read member) faith...:)

As i said ,they will check the i.p address , if found same they are gonna Ban him. But its still possible that he is not Akshay Talwar .... Maybe someone else cud be using his PC to post here at TE !

^^well he cud be using a cybercafe yaar..;) imho ip isnt the rite criteria to ban an id...for the most part i cud remember, i used to use a cyber cafe to access TE when i was in college/hostel...n i'm gonna confess, i had a different id back then and i had used it for more than a year or so... and no, i didnt get banned or something..i left it on purpose..as my friends used to find out tht i am in a cybercafe by checking the time of my posts in TE...lol..ppl keep coming up with such genuine ways to track u...:hap5: Now old days are gone by and i dont intend to use the old id anymore...:no: So yeah, the point is, IP is a very bad criteria to ban an ID...i think about 30-40% of TE members use cybercafe for accessing TE..

I see u are suffering from spam syndrome too buddy..:P (yeah..i have read a lot of ur posts in the gudnite thread..;) ) it wud be better tht u take a lesson from Bluffy before its too late or u get banned too...think about it..;)

Banned for 1 month on the orignal , permanent on the alternate.

2 of which have been banned , 3rd one about to. Oh n did i mention its a pain in the ass to create fake email address for a new id :|
 
A 1 month ban for spamming sounds a bit excessive. Especially if this is the first time.

im not really following whats happening, but if there is no apparent and sensible reason for banning TM, i dont see why ppl are bent to do that to him?!

The mods attitude is annoying to say the least...
sheer high handedness. Wish I cud ban some of these mods n this wud be a very fun democratic place...

I'm with the MODs on this.... if anyone is banned that means they lost the right to post on the forum... doesnt matter which ID... Exactly like if u are prisonned that means u cant roam outside... neither with ur name or disguised as someone else...

But i am with bluffy that banning for wat he claims he did i totally uncalled for...
 
Lighten up mods, you're taking your jobs a little too seriously... and when you do that, you miss out on the damn ride which is supposed to be fun afterall. Stop taking cheap shots at people just because you can.
