I'm happy that the accused was fed upon human sh*t by jail intimates.
Delhi gang-rape: Main accused made to eat human excreta in Tihar - daily.bhaskar.com

But i really don't agree with it, we should not go to that level and become animal like they had gone and acted like animal.... they committed a crime so they should be punished severely according to law..

Sorry to all pet lovers, but i really know Animals are 100000's time better than humans in real :x:X

hope you guys stop ogling and passing friendly comments about girls or all this hullabooo happening is just hot air

Ogling girls isn't crime, it's an instinct built in every animal to seek a mate. But raping isn't, even animals go to great lengths to attract the opposite sex, some even have elaborate mating rituals.

All that aside, rape isn't much about sex anyway. It's the thrill of having power over someone, the rush to be in complete dominance.

hahaha , wont you think ogling is all that these guys in the car were doing? do you think the girls like to be ogled at ?

Nothing will change , I mean nothing ; these media coverage , facebook protest , twitter protest , I hope you guys have noticed that the ajtak incident happened after the mishap has been reported live , so those people( have to call them people , we all are ) havent seen paper , news , ? they didnt know that something bad happened in the same place yesterday ?

But they still ogled @ the reporter , passed comment and ran away by the car , same thing will happen continuously and I feel disgusted to say that it will not stop , someplace more ( Delhi , Bihar , Kolkata ) , some place less ( Hyd , Bangalore ) .

Unless two things start being done ,

Administration : Death sentence for Rapists , Hang atlist 3-4 rapists ( ohh i forgot Kasav was kept alive for 4 years ; rape is not that biiiig crime for India to hang them ) , so ignore this option .

We the people : we change , we start respect girls , women , and most importantly we open up about sexuality , the suppressed thing related to sexuality is the major reason Indian men only objectify women , we cant see women as a natural part of our society and , thats why we hate to discuss porn but happy to discuss Sunny Leone . Unless we open up nothing will change .

But one question really crops up in my head , why so much these kind of incidents happen in Delhi , Kolkata only , I have been to south India , infact I am now in Hyd , these places are really safe for women , but why not Delhi ?

Delhi again ! :-/

Within hours after the gruesome gangrape of a 23-year-old came to light, a three-and-a-half-year-old girl was drugged and raped inside the bathroom of a playschool. The horrific crime was committed by the playschool owner’s husband. The shocking incident took place on Monday morning in southwest Delhi’s Vashisht Park area.

The traumatized girl has told a city court that two-three more girls were abused along with her.
T

he police have arrested the accused, Pramod Malik, who holds a senior rank in an autonomous research institute.

The minor girl has gone into a state of shock after the incident.

It is the fabric of society. Women are just not respected in these parts of India. I really do not see how stringent law sentences and higher vigilance will change things. Men think women are animals. Be it drunk or sober. It is sickening to walk the streets in Delhi with a lady and see the body language of locals. Be they people on the streets or rich dudes in car, or men returning from office. The men/boys/guys of Delhi are a**-holes; and think they can get away with anything. A r*** in a bus is just as bad as a lewd comment made on the street. You subject a female to humiliation -for- what reason...? For being: Gender = F. And this situation has aggravated manifold, since Gurgaon has become closely linked to Delhi. The Jatt/Gujjar people have amassed a ton of wealth (with zero effort) , which as a corollary has bought power and influence coupled with low education, so they create the same menace and crime riddled environment in both cities (cause they still do nothing productive). Being drunk (in NCR), after the sun sets; behind a steering wheel for "fun and enzoyment" is standard protocol. In winters this is high risk: cause it becomes dark earlier. It is a mockery on Delhi men, that a women's section had to be accommodated on the Metro. It is not shortage of vigilance and law; but a gross lack of basic civil manners and respect.

Fun thing is, i have seen people from educated and cultured background as saying: If the ladies have their own coach.. why are there the odd reserved seats for ladies in the rest of the coaches of metro.

Cant really do anything but feel for your luck that you are in such 'esteemed' company.

^^ I remember while traveling in a bus a while back who getting pissed that a woman was sitting in the "gents" seat when there was a ladies seat that was unoccupied.

Amidst demand for death to rapists, Shinde said to ensure a strong law to deal with crimes of this nature, steps will be taken for the amendment of the criminal law for enhanced and more effective punishment in the rarest of the rare cases of sexual assault such as this.

Source - Govt appoints judicial inquiry into rape incident, penalty to be enhanced - The Times of India

First - Gang Rape incidents in Delhi or anywhere in India are not rare.
Second - Why wake up today and single out this case only? Rapes have been happening in and around Delhi for a while.

If gang rape incidents are rare here is another such rare incident - Woman gang-raped, stripped naked in Tripura; seven arrested - The Times of India

As long as common man lacks common sense the same common man or some other common man is going to get raped.

If the ladies seat was indeed unoccupied, I would consider the lady in question being inconsiderate of her co passengers. This is similar to what happens in any reservation system. Why take up a general quota seat when you are entitled to, and already have a seat reserved for you.

That is quite a dumb way to think, honestly. Reservation is about exercising an exclusive option available. It is not: Being forced into a choice.

It doesn't work that way in a public place. Does that mean, in that scenario, a guy can take the unoccupied ladies seat till someone stakes claim?

Its really no point discussing these things , raping is a deep rooted dark mentality that is there between educated and uneducated men from all parts of the society I believe, and it all comes within there family , the way they have been brought up matters and no bookish education can provide that respect for women , what we can at least do is provide that wisdom to the upcoming youngsters so that they don't end become like that .

And punishment for these bastards ????? , hah . thats a joke is India . The people who are in these rallies will turn into a monster if they find a lonely lady in street @ night .

What..? It is reserved for ladies, cause they are given a special status in a public transport vehicle. A man is not, so they cannot sit in that place. Hobson's choice for men, prerogative for women. What is so confusing, or unfair here. What you mean, it does not work like this in public. That is the problem here: When we as citizens start to make our own rules based on: assumption. It is simple: It is for a lady the seat, she can choose if she wants to or not, a man cannot sit there. He has no choice.

It is behaviour like this which creates barriers. Why should one suffer for someone else's lack of compassion. Reservation itself is a horrible thing to have, and when people misuse it, it only makes things worse.

Poor example, but coming back..using your ideology:

Barriers are needed to distance rabid men. WE. US. To protect ladies/women/girls from us. Go travel in a Blue Line in peak office hours, and see what all happens to women. Guys, will brush on them (their groin), when brakes are applied -loose- balance and dry-hump them from behind, lech with huge eyes, make triple meaning comments, grope and fondle their body (any part) in a crowd. Same started to happen in the Metro cause they are way way more packed. A much higher and severe brevity. I would much rather have three men standing, and 4 ladies seats unoccupied than, one lady sitting in a general compartment.

When us men learn to behave, we can remove all barriers. I am all for it. Why you talking about reservation, this is about women.

asingh - I will have to agree with agantuk on the bus seat example unless she is traveling with a male passenger or a mixed group.

I witnessed a huge argument over this in a bus once. A guy got on a bus and all general seats were occupied with a few ladies seat empty. He very courteously asked one woman if she could move to a ladies seat. To this the woman started arguing "Why, why should I move? Why don't you sit on it..." etc., Finally the guy too got angry and that led to a huge argument. The bus kept on moving collecting more passengers. Soon the empty seats were occupied the guy was left looking like a fool. A little consideration on that woman's part would have done both good but she chose not to.

If that guy had occupied the ladies seat like that woman had asked him to, do you think he would have been spared when the other women got on the bus?

If only every individual thinks of their actions and choices and their consequences on themselves and others.
