Something really fishy is going on its 6 10 am,i should be getting 1mbps,now i am getting 2.66 mbps. :S from speedtest.net consistently.



From airtel website getting 2.17mbps

What is happening? Seriously? Your speeds have been throttled. Isn't that what you guys were constantly complaining about in the last few pages? Enjoy the new speed and why even be bothered with why it's XYZ speed (unless it's less of course). :P

@Srirama - if you were on the 512 day / 1mbps night, you will now get 1 mbps day / 2mbps night (10pm to 8am) , why so surprised??

Not necessarily. I'm on the same plan, however, I'm getting 1Mbps throughout the day and it doesn't bump to 2Mbps at night. I inquired about it with the CC and the rep told that it's 1Mbps flat and there won't be differential speeds at all.

Yeah same here, so we are at a loss here as the earlier throughout 512kbps plan people must be getting 1mbps throughout now, and we pay more and our speeds are the same :@ (Ignore if this speed bump is only for 1299 plan customers)

then it means you have 2mbps at night and 1mbps in the morning

I checked with the Airtel CC, they informed that they introduced new plans, but these plans are 1MBps and 2MBps Unlimited 24 hours, the tariff for 2MBps is 1699.

But upgrading of connections is still a mystery

Something is really wrong with airtel's backend settings,after switching on and off the router atleast 5 times,I'm back to 1mbps :|

the speed dropping happened to me too but then on it was stable so you have been doubled

and don't chk on speedtest,it has alot of problems

check the airtel tamil nadu speedtest link that i gave you in the ohter post

Its good that we all are getting 1mbps throughout without those ridiculous FUP Limit's :) (Already downloaded 60Gb, by the end up the month the figure will go up to ~80GB :D)

Is this speed bump also for 1099 (512kbps throughout) plan customers? Are they too getting 1mbps throughout btw? :(
 
Plan:1299 Turbo Plan (Now discontinued)

Day: 512 kbps

Night: 1mbps

FU: 100 GB (Day download only)

Location: Gurgaon

Was getting 1mbps/24 hrs for the past couple of months.

This month, on the 21st my speed got reduced to 512kbps and I kept getting the FU warning message.

Called up CC, the guy it was a mistake from their end and it will get sorted.

Next day the tech guy calls up and informs me that Airtel has imposed a FU limit of 25GB on plans after which speeds for users with older plans will become half and no night time 1mbps. Reason he gave was that it was TRAI ruling.

I call up CC again and ask them wtf? and they respond by saying that the problem has been escalated to a higher level....after a few days still no response from their end.

I'm stuck at 512kbps all day long and it sucks. Looking to change to some other ISP but have no clue which one to opt for.

So at the end of the day the moral of this post is after 5 years of being a dedicated user of Airtel broadband connection they repaid me by pulling this nonsense :(
 
^ LOL! Im on the same plan. I have crossed 45GB as of today. :P
Im getting between 2-4mbps during the day and 2mbps at night time :P

I dont know if the day time speeds are temp. I should be getting only 1mbps during the day and 2mbps during the night.
 
I have an impatience 899 unlimited plan

with a speed of 4mbps for 6gb, and 256kbps there onwards.

Every time my 6gb finishes, my speed just falls to 2.5mbps, never has it gone below that. :)
