News AMD Radeon 9000 series officially announced to go on sale in March 2025

Although the performance is excellent for the price, and I’m planning to upgrade in a few months, I’m hesitant to buy an AMD GPU again due to stability issues and other random problems I experienced with my 6700XT (ASUS TUF RX 6700 XT OC Edition). For example, I had screen flickering and occasional blackouts for a second, which many other ASUS TUF 6700XT users have reported. I also experienced consistent crashes in Shadow of the Tomb Raider at exactly the same location when using DX12, an issue reported by many 6700XT users. I had to switch to DX11 to get past that point. Additionally, there were micro-stutters in Cyberpunk 2077 and few other games & other minor inconveniences.

I'm excited about the 9070 XT but am still unsure after my experience with the 6700XT.

I am in the same boat as you since my purchase of RX 6600 XT DX12 games crash a lot. I experienced them while playing Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077. That's why now I am opting for Nvidia RTX 4070 or Ti Super if I can make my sister get it for me from Toronto.

I would recommend waiting for about 2 months after the launch to gauge the driver situation and then arrive at the conclusion.

Also maybe try some of these fixes:

I also liked how AMD went in-depth with technicals with actual quantifiable data, especially with RT improvements, unlike nVidia, whose keynote was mostly insulting the intelligence of the attendees as if they were chimps using tools for the first time, with deceptive marketing. They also showcased gen-on-gen improvements on a FAIR playing field - native vs native- and did not show deceptive uplifts by using fake frames at 4X vs 2X on the previous gen. The use of AI BS jargon was kept to a minimum.

I would say about 65k basically (usd to inr)x1.2, that would be the base price add another $30 for a reputable OEM. So,

Base= 62k
Good Card=65k

At max it would be 70k and that is if the availability is low.


AMDs 9060 series of graphic cards are officially launching in Q2 2025

It is offical and I think it will most probably be in April along with the 5060 launch just like the 9070 series are launching with the 5070. But it could be anywhere between April-June, i.e. Q2.
