News AMD Radeon 9000 series officially announced to go on sale in March 2025

As HUB also rightfully pointed out, the 9070XT is actually closer to the 5070 in price than it is to the 5070 Ti. Given that the 5070 downright sucks ballsacks, it all boils down to perspecrtive and pricing + availaibility over the next few days/weeks. Can't wait for the dumpster fire that will be the 5060 with its glorious and magnanimous 8 GB of VRAM.

Lol this is such a great comment from Linus's review:

"You can hear a bunch of 1080 Tis finally resting in peace that they finally found a worthy upgrade".

Such a big middle finger to the 50 series :hilarious:

Even though the performance we have seen right now is not exactly what AMD promised, it is far off it, but this is still pretty good, and honestly RT performance and FSR 4 are much better than I expected then I had expected.
5070ti vs 9070xt

I kinda ignored on first look that 9070xt is almost same as 5070ti in raster perf.
RT perf was so much worse that i forgot, so yeah even against 5070ti it can make sense to go for this one if you ignore heavy RT games which anyway run at awful frame rates.

Still, not too interesting as an upgrade over 3080 for me. But yeah, amd overstated perf, but 9070xt is decent. Hopefully will have decent models at 600$/65k. 5070 is a pos in comparison.

Nvidia while making 5070 and setting the price at $550:

Also I just realised that anyone who says that 7900XTX or 4080 offer "better value" at 87k or whatever price the 4080 is selling for than the 9070 XT which we know is currently selling for 71k is.... ahem.... Wait for it STUPID.

The 9070 XT even at the current jacked up price offers better value when compared with the 7900XTX and yes better value in raster cause the 9070 XT blows the 7900XTX out of the water when comparing RT, even at a lighter RT workload.

When comparing numbers from the HUB review the 9070 XT is 12% slower than the 7900XTX at 1440p and 10% slower at 4K while costing 20% less, and the 9070 XT come with
FSR 4 upscaling which is far better than FSR 3.1.

If anything, anyone planning to buy a GPU in this price range other than the 9070 XT go for for the 7900XT at 63k, it offer same raster performance at 1440p and is 9% slower at 4k while being 10% cheaper than the 9070 XT. Don't go for the 7900XTX or the 4080 you don't need that 7900XT is plenty and with the saved 25k by not buying them you can upgrade your monitor for a better experience.

Either buy a 9070 XT or a 7900 XT, it is as simple as that.

Note: This is just a rant, if anyone is hurt or offended I am sorry.

Even though the performance we have seen right now is not exactly what AMD promised, it is far off it, but this is still pretty good, and honestly RT performance and FSR 4 are much better than I expected then I had expected.

After finally getting something decent and somewhat good and seeing people shitting on it was not exactly heartwarming to say the least.

Again I am sorry if I offended or hurt anyone.
Lmaoo.. You can save your sorry's sir.

I dont have the brain energy to argue with you or feel hurt over what someone random on some random internet forum thinks over some random gpu's of all things in this world.

Bhai you are the ultra pro max smartest wisest PC part suggester and buyer on TE, there is no fighting that fact. I'm already aligned with you.. there is no need to present evidence for your statements.

EDIT: but what about this screenshot from HUB's review which puts the 7900xtx almost on par with the 5080:

First of all thank you for the compliments the pleasure is mine :kissingheart:

But in the earlier post I had cleared that doubt. Even at the current pricing and going by HUB numbers the 9070 XT offers 10% better value along with FSR 4.
