AMD Ryzen 5000 (Zen 3) processors Official launch | Where Gaming begins. (October 8, 9:30 PM)

Unless something drastic changes, i think my 2600x would do just fine for 1080p gaming, for at least 3-4 years (and I don't play majority of the latest aaa games, so even better).
I'll probably upgrade my rx470 to rtx 3060 or 6700, depending on the prices.

If people want 4k gaming though, and this year, I think upgrading to 3000 r7/5000 series is a must. Let's see how the pricing is...

Not sure about the authenticity of this but these are the Indian prices of Ryzen 5000 series excluding GST. TBH this looks realistic to me considering the US pricing.

Ryzen 5 5600X: Rs 22,990/
Ryzen 7 5800X: Rs 34,490/
Ryzen 9 5900X: Rs 41,990/
Ryzen 9 5950X: Rs 60,990/

With GST rate of 18%, Ryzen 5 5600X & Ryzen 7 5800X are going to cost around Rs 27,128/ & Rs 40,698/ respectively. If this is the case, I don't expect 3000 series prices are going to fall anytime soon. Suddenly Intel offerings are starting to look very tempting now ;).

so 5900x is for 49560 inr if gst is 18 % :tearsofjoy: and 54k was something hopping for :p

also the bad or confusing new is that the stock is not that great. if the stock is continuum with weekly shipping then we can have no issue or else its the same as to what we have right now for NVIDIA !

IMO the 5900X would be good deal @ Under 45k

Someone in Myanmar bought an R7 5800X for about $520 he says. I just saw his post in one Facebook group. That's about 39k INR.
If the Reddit post about the pricing is accurate then I've been waiting for nothing! Should've just gotten the R5 3600 while it was still in stock. Dammit. I sure hope the real world performance justifies the price or AMD might just become a laughing stock stock here.
At this point my hopes are pretty much squashed. Sigh. I wanted to build a new PC by Christmas. F.
So anyone selling a used R5 3600/X around here? :p

But that reddit pricing is expected? Why expect lower when they have increased $50 from 3xxx series. I got my 3900x at launch for 42k and expect 49-50k for 5900x matching the increase and additional tax on it.

I think we have 6th Nov, 2020 are the official dates. 5th was the listing date. the distributors also don't have the stock as much as I know :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:

Its official. The Reddit post was correct.

Damn I wanted to go for a 5950x but I dont think i can afford it :banghead:
same here :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:
but the pricing without a cooler is more than what I think as you will need to buy the aio or the best air cooler and that will be 8k + so pricing is like 58k or so on for 5900X  its other thing if you have a aio or air cooler.
